Didn't get a chance to play last weekend because of the snow storm. Will be putting in a lot of hours this upcoming weekend, I haven't played in about 2 weeks and I am definitely itching to play. I definitely believe you learn more online obviously because of the increased volume you can put in, but sitting down shuffling some chips and being able to observe your opponents is the nuts. That's how I started playing so I guess that's just how I fell in love with the game.
Online
Put in about 3k hands this week, which was in a lot less than the 16 hours I wanted so I will have to work on upping that number each week. Played well for the most part I think sticking to 4-5 tables is going to be my game plan going forward. I haven't really been using my HUD as much as I should or analyzing some of the regs tendencies so that will be next on the agenda as well.
I have also decided to put down Harrington's book and instead read Sklanky's Theory of Poker which I think I will find a lot more useful. I remember trying to read it a good while back and it was really just over my head. I think I have improved a lot since then so time to give it another go.
Also, I am seeing a lot of posts in threads that make absolutely no sense to me. It usually goes along the line of the OP making some sort of a statement that someone disagrees with. Now, instead of saying
why OP's line of thinking is absurd, or even making an attempt to point OP in the right direction, they jump straight to berating them for simply not knowing any better. I am not going to rant, but it just seems to obviously go against everything that this forum was set up for in the first place.
So for anyone that has done this, think about what that post is doing--->Either post to help yourself, post to help others, or post to do both, everything else is just -EV.
Here's this weeks graph
Also will try to find any hands to post soon that I had trouble with
