Thanks man, cool to hear. I find it always interesting that great poker players almost always have a pretty open mind (even though some obv don't lol). Glad to hear u don't spend it all on alcohol, would have been pretty sad imo. I am thinking about helping other people too etc next year, but also can't choose lol. Heard from someone that Afrika is great for this, but guess there are sadly enough a lot places to find where people need your help and when you can experience new cultures and stuff like that.

January 2013 has been a very weird month... Never had a month like this one before. It's definitely a lesson I am glad to have learned though.

- I played by far the most amount of hands I've ever played in a month (despite not playing for 10 days when I was in LV). Played 185k hands this month (lol).

- Lost $14k for the month.

- Made about $14k in rakeback.

- I feel like a donk.

- 135k VPPs

Goals for Feb:

- Going to start running most days for this 4 month $10k prop bet I have with a friend.

- Going to just chill out with the swings and grind a steady month. I set a goal of $500k for the year which as it stands with January out the way about $515k in 11 months. That's $46.8k ish a month on average.

- I've worked out if I played 160,000 hands of NL500 zoom in Feb and won at a rate of 5bb/100 I'd make $40k excluding the bonus'. Bonus' included it would be around the month goal.

- The last couple of days I've signed into ongame but rarely seen any 2-5k games going on, it really is a ghost town there now since some of the bigger skins moved networks etc. And as I said above, if I put in the hands (played 92k there this month whilst having 10 or so other tables, and taking 10 days off) I guess I can have a stress free month/year and just crush this zoom game to make my monthly and annual goals.

- On the subject of VPPs and SNE - I've realised that it just isn't worth going hard for early on. It's a year goal and only the best grinders/hardest workers make it. I was trying to get it done in like 6 months for some reason... Anyway, I will still make it - just there is no rush to make it! Sacrificed my winrate and winnings massively this month just for some extra VPPs - sh*t move from me!

That is a very sick winrate at NL500 though. Don't know if anyone has achieved such a winrate over a huge sample. Maybe Lorenzo.

Got so drunk yesterday... Drinking all day then went to a strip club sports bar type of place (queue to the place we were meant to be going was so long!) Then ended up in Empire Casino with a friend playing the £2/5 game. Left with £9800.

Was curious, besides being softer in general, do the games play any differently on Euro sites, compare to Stars? I have heard various things but haven't played enough on other sites in the past few years to make a conclusion

Well, on Euro sites the games are always revolving around a fish. Very rarely do 1k+ games run without a fish. Stars it's a little different. Regs at the 1-2k stars tables will play reg tables a lot more. The regs in general are definitely better on stars than euro sites.

Regarding the games themselves on stars, if you picked the best 20 players out of the top 20 1k regs and the top nl500 zoom regs, it wouldn't even be close - 1k regs would comprise of at least 18 of the 20 imo. People who play midstakes and say the zoom games are easier than the 1k games (aesthetics I saw write a post on this in the stars regs thread) clearly have no clue on what makes a reg 'good' or just don't realise their 1k winrate comprises of being on a table with a legit fish, whereas on zoom this won't always be the case (but instead, will be playing with worse regs).
