I currently play mostly live poker 1/2NL - 5/10NL, 2/5NL is my main game. Online i play PLO25. I am starting this thread to track my online PLO progress.

I just started a mixed-game thread, starting at 20$ tables with a few big MTT-shots this month. Let's put up a double-example of how poker is still easily beatable in 2013, no matter what you play.

A little recap for the start of this year. The year started off well, i was up $3k playing 1/2/5PLO live, but lost $250 on the 7th and $3k the next day. After that i realized that 10 handed loose passive live PLO isn't the game for me as you really need to get lucky to win consistently. I played 2/5NL on the 11th/12th and won close to $2k, won $1.1k yesterday and $1.58k today. On quite the heater. Online is going well, but i am running pretty far above ev. Let's just hope it continues.

Bad day live. Lost $3k in a 2/5 game even though there was a huge fish. Lost a few big hands getting into tough spots. Tilting hand, fish raise to $20 EP, big fish calls blind out of small blind, I 3bet kk to $100, EP calls, big fish says he has 72 lol and calls. Flop 248cc, big fish check, i bet $170, fish shoves for $450, big fish calls, i shove for $1k total, big fish calls. EP has q4ss (lol), big fish has 72cc, turn 2, ): oh wel back to the grind.

On a positive note, in the recent past when i would lose big i would gamble hard on online roulette/blackjack (usually resulting in me losing $5k in a day), but the days of me being stupid and reckless with my money are hopefully behind me. Instead i just went home drank some whiskey and am currently watching tv shows online.

The 5/5 game didn't go so well yesterday. Was down alot to even to back down and even again. A 5/10 game opened up around 8pm and i did well. Won $1.04k on the day. Played alot online today, here's the graph, swings lol.

Haven't played live since friday night, just been grinding online a bit. Played 2/5 today and won $1.22k. Online been breaking even over almost 10k hands. Been playing on auto pilot, that needs to change.

Still haven't been playing online that much. Played live everyday this week so far and up everyday. Really good games been going. Will try to play online some more next week, but if there are alot of good live games, i'll probably just play those. Up close to $9k on the month so far. Hope i can keep the winning streak alive!

Up just under 5 figures on the month. Since i've stuck with just poker and quit gambling, late last December, life has been looking pretty good. I was stuck in a viscous cycle the last year of building up a good bankroll and than getting heavy into gambling. I didn't care about how much i lost or the consequences. But I got sick and tired of the viscous cycle i was in and decided to turn my life around. I've made a promise to myself and one of my best friends to stay clear of gambling, a promise i plan on keeping.

I realize now my goal of 300k+ vpp's and 700k+ hands is looking a bit unrealistic. I only have 7kvpps this month.

My main goal of this thread will be leaning more towards moving up the limits in online PLO, and making $70k+ this year.

As far as live goes, played meh today. Bluffed off $1k in a decent spot, but bad river and people just don't fold. Don't even know why i bother bluffing sometime. Played a $220 tourney, didn't cash. -$1.5k today. May take tomorrow off from live pokers.
