About me
I'm a recently 18 year old turned young man who has been playing poker his whole life and am glad finally to be able to actually post here being allowed to.

Goals
[] Make 50 000$ before New Year's Eve! I know it's a sick goal and everyone will think this random will fail horribly, but I'll have to prove to you all that I wont which makes this thread worth making!

[] Get a few hours of coaching every week
[] Never stop learning, adjusting and improving my game
[] Take a break whenever I feel in need of one
[] Keep the volume up, don't be lazy!

Games
Step 1 - 2.50 180's -> 1200$
Step 2 - Adding 3.50 and 8 180's -> 3k
Step 3 - Playing more 3.50 and 8's + all turbo mtts that run < 16.50$ -> 6k
Step 4 - Playing all the 180's and any mtt up till 33$ -> 10k
Step 5 - Playing mainly still 180's but also mtts up till 55$ -> 20k
Step 6 - Still playing the 180's mainly but also Sunday million and any 109$ mtt -> 50.000
I will be moving down steps if I get on a downswing and keep a good brm, but aggressive!

Played a little over 100 games adding the turbo mtts I played, was disturbed by my friend coming over so the start was horrible after I told him to leave. Atleast I made a 2nd, 3rd and some cashes and didn't go more than 24 bis down. Gonna play another 100-150 games tommorow without anyone disturbing me!

I assume you've seen 'Chilin_dude''s thread, which is basically the same as your goal but going from $300 to $100,000:

If you're a decent player and you know ICM (this is essential), it's a very manageable goal through the 180 mans and MTTs.
However, to complete this in one year, you need to play a ridiculous amount of volume. Chilin_dude was still breakeven after his first 1k games of the $2.50s.
I have practically the same goal as you, but without a time limit. I'm currently going from $300 to $1800 from the $2.50s. I've played 2k games in the past 2 months and I'm up just over $700 pre RB ($850 with)

Session 2
Running hot on the 2's wasn't all for today, since I managed to take a 837$ prize from the 3.30 dollar turbo mtt sadly just that cause I was chipleader going 3 handed and totally dominating the soft play, but my hands just wouldn't hold up. First of I lost AQ to vilains K10 and later to knock me out A9 to vilains KJ
but im obv really happy with the 3rd place!

So I'm at Step 2 now and plan to start adding a few 3.50 rebuys and 8's (just a few obv) while playing the 2's 80% or so still
I know it's quick to start playing bigger buyins, but as I said im happy to move down the minute I don't feel comfortable at where I'm playing

I've lived around the world Denmark, Hong Kong, England and now Finland since my relatives are all from here so we came back with my family and ive settled in pretty well, learnt the language and starting to adjust with the major culture change

I think taking shots for $200 is fine.... surely you're doing the same thing seeing as you're playing the 8s at $1200. Tbh, I don't think 150 BIs is enough to play 180-mans (Maybe you can just about get away with it at the $2.50's because of weaker players).
But surely, if your BR goes below $1000, you will drop back to the $2.50 games, meaning that you'd only be taking shots for $200 too? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I haven't played in nearly 3 weeks now because of an exam, but it's done and I hope to get a lot more volume in soon (unfortunately 'a lot' for me is not actually a ridiculous amount seeing as I still have other uni work to do and lectures to go to, and I have a gf
but I'll try my best to put in some hours!See you on some FTs soon

Haven't updated for a bit and I'm sorry for that! The few couple of days have been up and down and I put some money into some of friends mtt packages so lost some money on those
Anyways I played some games today, ran good and felt like I played really well too.
