I've been playing HUsngs for few years now, I pretty much took a brake from September till May because I was tired of poker and had to study in Uni. But now I wanna grind again and I finally learned how to play long (8-14hr) sessions without getting bored (podcasts, I can suggest Joe Rogan experience, Bill Burr podcast and Opie and Anthony).
I made $20k in July but I also ran like 5k above EV. I also want to get back into $300 hypers and win something there because right now my graph @ 300 looks pretty sad.

So first day went pretty well, I'm happy with the way I played and with my volume. I had to battle v2t3 and GGgramps (sp?) a little in $300 and $350 but I did pretty good. I really don't mind battling regs, I think adjusting vs strong oponents is something I'm good at. Weirdly I got more action @ 300 than 100 today which is awesome. I'll try to find some cool hands to post later

So far im doing pretty great @ Stars but pretty bad @ FTP. I'm still happy with my game and my volume. I'm doing pretty good 300$ games also. It won't be easy to make 20k in August but def not impossible. Im also down like 2k in HU CAP. I'll try to update more but it just takes a while to download/upload photos etc. If anyone has any questions or they wanna ask something about a hand they played, feel free to do it.

Last few days have been pretty great. I've climbed out of my hole on FTP (at least EV wise) and I'm doing great on Stars. I have a good winrate @ 300 and 350 games which is nice to see. The amount of fishes @ 350 games on fulltilt is just crazy, they will also rematch you which almost never happens on stars. My goal is to win 20k at least in EV + RB so I'm a little behind the pace now but I feel confident I can still do it.

about that 67s hand

villain was some dude I had played before but not a reg. He had a fold to flop cbet 0/5 and was ch/raising about 50% (with a sample of like 40 hands) so when he called my flop bet I was pretty sure it was something like K9o where he just wants to see another card. That's why I'm barreling the turn and when he ch/raises i'm pretty happy to call since he prob. would have raised the flop with Jx, and it's unlikely that he has a 2x because he was calling only 27% of my opens. My turn bet looks weak too. the river has to be a bad card for him if he had Jx so his bet still looks weak, i can't call and chop so i moved allin.

Just a small update with 12 days left in my challenge. Things have been going good, no regs try to sit me @ 300 anymore so I'm just slowly grinding against fishes. I also finished 12th in a mtt which is cool for me considering that I hadn't cashed in a tournament in like a year. I also tried playing HUcash against some regs but I'm still pretty terrible @ anything where you have to play with 26bbs or more. Somehow I keep getting outplayed by these nl50 regs and I don't know why. Here's a hand that I played which shows how I've been doing against people in cash. So it's August 31st and I'm not gonna play any more games today so I guess it's time to wrap up this thread.

[ ] $20,000 in August in Husngs - fail, I made about $14,000 in HUSNGS this month, including RB
[X] +EV in $300 hypers - I'm up like 6k+RB in $300 games, which is good considering I also battled a lot of regs
[X] play more games than I did in July - I played 2293 HUSNGS in July and 2652 in august.

overall I'm happy with my results this month, Even though I didn't win 20k in money or in EV. It's still my best month volume wise and because of my MTT bink, it's also the best month money wise. School starts again in September which means I'll be able to play a lot less which sucks. Depending on my results I might have to take a year off next may and just focus on poker, seeing how good my results have been this summer. I feel like I'm a better player than I have ever been in my life and what's more importnant is that I'm able to play a good amount of games in a day. Thanks
