We've hit 10k hands in 2 NL. My playstyle has changed a lot ever since I started an Upswing membership. It has been really helpful in making me realize why a lot of things I was doing before was wrong logic or too aggressive. I've gone from a 30 VPIP to about 20-21. The solver based vs RFI / RFI vs 3 bet / 4 bet ranging helped a lot then learning to bet based off my range vs villain's range (also considering nut advantage) rather than just my specific hand which seems to be helping a lot with mitigating leveling myself randomly like most newer people do. Although I am still working on it haha.

Its been cool learning to understand more basics of using a solver and i've been learning bet sizing on different board states and frequency to try and better understand how to play btn vs bb and ill slowly build from there. At this point I think I am probably a slightly losing player but I am encouraged by seeing my EV numbers go above my $ made because it makes me believe I am now making better decisions post flop and have generally been losing a majority of my 70/30s lately. I do think that if I keep up the study I will eventually be a half decent player.

It took an insane amount of attempts to get support to answer but I finally have my 27% rakeback now officially. Its illuminated to me how crazy the rake is down here.

I've started to load 6 tables then cut that number over the course of the first hour down to the 2-3 most profitable ones based off of who I have history on / stack sizes / VPIP etc. I keep loading new ones and cutting them back down, etc after your advice. Thanks it definitely helps.

Oh also I meant my EV line in individual small sessions not overall. I understand that I ran pretty good to start and have basically just been break even / losing since.

Took my bankroll off of ACR and swapped to Ignition. WOW this is so much easier. Its wild to see more fish than regs and I have had a great time so far. Even with less data on players its so much softer. I am glad i spent 20k hands on ACR as learning to fight those regs has made this experience very enjoyable so far. I will be short stacking 5 NL zoom until I make enough to take a shot at short stacking 25 NL zoom. Small sample size so far but I am sure I can consistently beat 5 NL zoom. Super excited to put in some volume. These Upswing courses are starting to click and I am really proud that I have not been punting and laying down strong hands in awkward spots.

+$33.41 so far on day 1 of Ignition!

Taking my first break. Feeling too sick maybe time to walk off the nausea. I love this place we're up $46.14 so far in 1818 hands. By far my best day ever in terms of putting together concepts I have learned off the table onto the table itself!

It would be awesome if we could double the bankroll in a day. Listening to a lot of Polyphia to stay focused .

How's Ignition been for the past few weeks? I'm considering switching over to the site as well. Probably won't, but a fishier site is enticing.

To Compton2014:

I have had worse results here but the pool is way fishier (worse results are just my own fault lol). I would say I would say 1 fish : 12 reg ratio on ACR at micros while on Ignition I have been getting ~two 50+VPIP/Low PFR fish per table at 10 NL and 2-3 per table at 5 NL. Definitely way more recreational players here.

-------

Since my last post I have been spending a lot of time learning via a combination of Upswing, various YT channels, and I started getting some coaching. We have our second session tonight and I am excited for that. I eventually busted my initial $100 deposit on Ignition and reloaded $200. Since then we've recovered about half of our initial deposit. I've slowed down on volume and play really short sessions lately. Also found that Zoom is not for me, hehe. Also started playing 10 NL instead. I know I should probably play 5 NL until I start winning at a decent clip but man I am fine with possibly losing a couple hundred bucks to play for a lil bit more money.

Basically restarting over and just slowly going to play longer stretches of time as after my first session with my coach it made me realize how I just start autopiloting and not fully thinking out my decisions. So now I log off as soon as my mind starts to wander. Also I just exit out if I make a dumb play. Might be the wrong approach. Also struggling with when I am up over a BI at a table I start to nit up. So I've tried to make it a conscious goal to slowly move up the amount I have at a table before I get off. I guess trying to condition my appetite for risk. As I hear a gigantic leak is limiting how much you win. Its weird because based off my stats I clearly overbluff so you'd think I would be more greedy than anything.

Really been struggling with my physical health a lot lately. Lost 30 lbs over the last 2 months due to my partial stomach paralysis. I got back on health insurance to go back to a Gastroenterologist. Hopefully my energy levels come up again after they help me out.

Will increase my volume slowly after we go over more flop / turn play tonight because my cbet is just insanely high. Would like to plug more leaks before the next 30k hands.

First month of online cash play in the books.

Down - $51 on Ignition cash + rake. BR - $237.79. I guess I really luckboxed those few 90-200 person MTTs on Ignition early on. Lots to learn. Humbling start to learning cash. More excited now that I started getting some coaching and have a more guided path to getting break even / hopefully become a winning microstakes player.

Graph of Shame:

Stats by position incase some experienced folks decide to bless me with some knowledge. Please no flame I am but a simple man trying to learn :

I started laughing my ass off when I reread my post about possibly doubling bankroll like day 1-2 when I first deposited. Followed by a light 20k hands of welcome to poker you silly fool. Anyways see you guys in another 10-30k hands.

10 NL has been going great thus far. Still working on cutting down my cbet by 10%+ (I think I am cbetting my range on king/queen/jack high rainbow disconnected boards too frequently and need to spend some time studying paired boards).

I have starting to look at value thresholds and pure check/give up regions as I look through GTOWizard sims in an attempt to spew less / find a baseline strategy for boards I am uncomfortable with as my coach suggested. Happy with my redline and blueline swapping as I think that shows that I am bluffing way less and stopped showing up to showdown with garbage so frequently. Switching to an overbet or check strategy on the turn seems to be working out great as well. Need to lower my frequency still I tend to overbet the turn more often than I am supposed too. Is it dumb to start randomizing at 10 NL?

Definitely need to work on upping my volume though... only playing a few hundred hands a day. Atleast if we continue at this rate we'll be breakeven soon and then we'll slowly chip our way to 25 NL. Its nice to see the balance start to trend upwards instead of the crazy zigzagging when I was bluffing too much. I don't get nearly as annoyed when I get coolered than when I first started playing everyday a month ago.

I understand the signs of me tilting now too which doesn't necessarily manifest as anger but more of a "**** it idc" while continuing to play which is no bueno. Also I absolutely just need to start give up on the river on my busted nut flush draws as that is almost always when I get stacked outside of standard situations. Its almost always a situation where I have 30-40 bb left on the river that coulda been saved but I just shove it in a feeble attempt to get them to fold when they are never going too. I think i'll write it on post it notes and surround my monitor with it, haha. Definitely need to start focusing on one topic to study instead of picking up bits and pieces of everything so I am just going to work on learning value threshholds for a while.

+$93.97 in 10 NL (6151 hands)
-$22.27 overall (34633 hands)

BR: $264.80

Today we have not played and spent the last ~5 hours looking at prior session's hands in GTO+ that I marked were uncomfortable / and at another 2+2er's hands as well. Along with checking equities in Flopzilla Pro (although I did get lazy later and didn't use flopzilla pro for every hand which I need to make sure to do every time so I don't build bad habits...). Now that I can actually use GTO+ a bit I am having a lot of fun with it.

Meanwhile I am working on my BTN vs BB as I play way too tight from the BTN in SRP. Afterwards I'll split into EP and MP ranges in 3bet pots to expedite my learning rather than doing it from every position. It seems I am getting in trouble in EP in 3bet pots so I need to spend a lot of time there. Side note: I now realize that the aggression I thought the solver was removing from my play has instead been transferred into winning from the power of the check raise and that the solver takes no prisoners, lol.

I found that I was consistently spewing on nut flush draws and need to reduce my frequency of bloating the pot compared to what I am now (which is basically always). I decided to go ahead with the decision to start randomizing via a tab on my 2nd monitor. I can't trust myself to not be biased and check 50% of the time with a premium hand when I am supposed too, etc. I'll go over these boards with my coach as well in my next session.

Also calling 3bets with small pocket pairs too frequently and with big Kx hands (I.E. KQo-KTo and KQs-KTs) seems to be a really consistent leak of mine and I want to specifically look at how big Kx hands respond to various common board states this next week. I think I need to stop calling these hands in 3 bets vs tighter opponents and save them for those that have a wide 3 betting range as an adjustment. I often found that I was overcommitting on top pair and getting owned but I believe I have fixed that issues in my last 6k hands or so.

It takes so long to aggregate these flop sets though. I guess I need to start queuing these when I am sleeping. Do you guys think 163 is good or I could get away with a smaller size while still getting a healthy representation?

Played a short session and won $14.22. Really happy with keeping my cbet% lower and folding a lot of hands that usually get me in trouble. Although I need to stop limiting my wins. If I am winning i start to get a weird winning tilt that makes me gun shy due to all the times i've leveled myself when up to 200-300 bb.

+$126.64 at 10 NL in 6785 hands. 18.7 BB/100 and 13.4 EV bb/100.

+$10.40 overall in 35267 hands. -3 BB/100 (lmao) and 1.4 EV BB/100.

5 winning sessions in a row .

I slept in today due to nausea in the morning. We're doing some warm up sims in GTO+ then having a coaching session in about a half hour where we'll probably spend ~70% of the session working on improving my study methods / learning more about the tool then ~30% DB review. Afterwards I'll play a couple hour long sessions split throughout the night and watch a doc on Napoleon (I have never really interested in that part of history until lately).

Yesterday we went against this psycho that was playing 93/7 and was 600bb+ deep. It was hilarious watching this man go from like 250bb to 600bb just destroying everybody postflop, with him basically making you risk your stack at every street. Ofc I also donated to his madlad , LOL. Donation to him is below. Definitely got off after that. Recovered $6.52 later after initially loggin with a $9.96 loss. I should have checked the turn when the board connected. Squeezing with these two probably never works. I did get it in with 69%+ equity but I got lost in the "this guy can have literally ATC and my hand can still improve on the river so I am going to try and squeeze here. I need to start milking the clock more so I don't risk the autopilot. Esp since it was a SRP I shoulda been very afraid... just fold knowing this board slaps his range way more than mine. Takin a look at it now.
