I've never played 2/5, but I hear it's pretty similar. Bart Hanson, who is a live poker coach on DC and his own site, suggests to play 2/5 over 1/2 if you have the bankroll and are beating 1/2. He says this simply because of the rake.
I've played with 2/5 players and they are always super aggressive when playing 1/2 and love to inflate pots and bully. However, they always seem to get stacked haha.
I would say if your bankroll can handle it, go for it. You're getting better money when it comes to the rake and if you play tight/get your money in on the best hands, you should have a good payday.
