Goal
$50,000 profit by the end of the year.
Why $50,000?
This amount of money will give me at least 2 years worth of expenses to give professional playing a shot (life nit). I also need to see if I put in a lot of volume like I have been begging myself to do for the last few years, that indeed I can make a living off playing.
How?
I will mainly be doing this playing mainly online MTTs from $5-$26 and $3r-$11r (also throw in some 45 and 90 mans if I feel like supplementing my volume). I feel this is the best chance to exponentially grow my bankroll in this short amount of time. I will also be playing live 1/2 and 2/5 at local casino with my life roll (not taking out of bankroll) and majority of winnings will be included with my bankroll.
One important thing that will determine if I am successful is of course being able to bink, but most importantly, I will need to be able to maintain control and not tilt as I have gone on to take shots as high as 5/10 and 3/6 online with just over the min buy in as my bankroll in the past.
Is this possible?
Recently was in Vegas staying with a friend from school that plays professionally and realized that the fundamentals that I have developed over the years and my thinking process is at a level where I am more than capable to play at a much higher level than I have throughout my life.
While there I was able to play about 4 sessions of 1/2 cash, 6 tournaments (including a wsop event) and 1 session of 5/10 cash at the Rio. Overall I made about 6.5k and it was a great experience. I really love to play live and my overall goal will be to play solely live once the bankroll gets to a very comfortable amount.
What next?
If I get this $50,000 I will be taking $10,000 + whatever else is in my life roll and making that my bankroll and putting $40,000 aside for expenses that can not be touched except for bill payments, food, and other life expenses.
At this point I will move to Las Vegas and try to make a living grinding live cash and playing MTTs online (most likely on a 70% Online/30% live basis).
