GLGL, just subbed, looks like an awesome journey. How many hands did you play so far?
This year I have played about 350k+ hands so far across NL50/100/200 I'm converging to be around 2 ev/bb winner at nl50/nl100
and nl200 rush I need more hands (done about 10k) to know what my realistic win rate is there - but atmo around 8-10 ev/bb in them games because I just play at the best times.
I might be able to get 1mil hands done by end of May.
Was card dead and pretty much ran into bigger hands e.g. KK into AA, QQ into KK and so on. Couldn't hit a single thing in a 3bet pot also.
Positive news:
I finish my tweaking of my strategy and made some good improvements in my game, so I think I will do most of my vol back at NL100 for end of month and targets for next month will be 200k hands at NL100 and 50-100k hands at NL50
On a little bit of a heater, getting some nice setups, regs hero and bluff catching light but also had 2 coolers, FH over FH (3rd nut versus 2 nut BvB) AK into KK in 3bet pot on K32.... And 2-3 times I ran KK into AA.... but still I really good session.
Came to say, good luck! Really impressive amounts of volume played and fun to read a bit through.
Just be careful not autopilot in these zoom games
Yeah I just play 3 tables only. That's the most I can do and focus on hands and be +bb winner.
I did try 4 tables in the past but no luck and my win rate just went down the drain and its hard to beat rake also. I think most leaderboard chasers are either losers or break even. I been in these games for a year now and I see all different regs all the time at nl50/100/200 lol....
At one point was up around 7-8 buyins at NL100 then some coolers and some bad plays then I decided to chase the leaderboard a little in rush hour, I think I will quit this since its full of spewy regs who just do stupid stuff... Just causes a super swingy session, variance and stress not worth it. I know the best hours to play now at NL100 so I think will skip leaderboard now for NL100 and focus more on my win rate....
Finally after 65k hands at nL50 I started to get cards and setups to win stacks. My all-in ev was 14 buyins but managed to make 9.5 buyins. Will show the bad beat hands next post...
1817 hands NL100
1.59 ev/bb
14.2 BB
$won: $258.10
Playing less at NL100 and just times when there is more fun players. Deciding its not huge ev to battle regs and leaderboard.
After tomorrows session I will post my monthly results and year to date....
fold, fold, CO raises to 2.5 BB, fold, SB raises to 12 BB, Hero calls 11 BB, CO raises to 129.2 BB and is all-in, SB calls 89.7 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 89.5 BB and is all-in
Flop:(304.9 BB, 3 players) 5 Q 2
Turn:(304.9 BB, 3 players) T
River:(304.9 BB, 3 players) 6
Spoiler:
CO shows K A (High Card, Ace)
Main Pot [304.5 BB]: (Pre 5%, Flop 2%, Turn 10%)
Side Pot#1 [0.4 BB]: (Pre 34%, Flop 4%, Turn 10%)
SB shows Q Q (Three of a Kind, Queens)
Main Pot [304.5 BB]: (Pre 18%, Flop 88%, Turn 88%)
Side Pot#1 [0.4 BB]: (Pre 66%, Flop 96%, Turn 90%)
Next month I will do around 25-30% NL100 and 60-70% NL50 Target hands is around 300k..... (I'm not gonna play NL200, I still want to improve my game and I only really play that stake at the prime times, I think there is still a lot of spots I can vastly improve but I am confident now after my study and analysis this month I can be a 3-4 EV/BB Winner longterm at NL50 and NL100.
I basically stopped with solvers and GTO study for the last 2 months.
I don't think it really helps me (theory) For me poker is like driving a fast car, just with lots of practice and experience you learn how to handle the situations and get better and better at it.
Now I just focus on playing exploitative and base my strategies on experience and volume on the tables.
I think most of what I do these days are not solver approved or anywhere near GTO.
I do however do a lot of database analysis and track if I am tilting or deviating from winning strategies and I make small adjustments over time to improve the win rates.
Btw What site you play on and how many hours a day?
GL
Exited to see next update
Oh between the reason I can put in insane volume and still maintain focus and concentration is because I use to be a competitive gamer. Grinding or playing extremely long hours each day.
So I have the natural soft skills from years of gaming to basically play for extreme long hours and keep focus.
When I play the rush/zoom format for me its basically the same like when I use to do gaming. Very similar in terms of details.
Pretty much meh for me.... alot of times just missing 3bet flops, not really getting cards and playing so and so.
I am running pretty well though, I sucked out on 2 all-ins postflop. 1 time I hit a 2 outer which didn't happen to me for a very long time because usually I'm not this bad shape when I get the money in and 2nd time in a 4bet pot i shoved jammed the turn with nut FD and hit it.
Last 2 sessions on a -7 buyin losing streak. Some big mistakes, some bad plays. Will take a little break and do some analysis and review before I continue.
