Introduction

Hello, my name is Osvald, i'm 19 years old recently finished school & decided to become a full time poker player. I'm a dedicated, motivated poker player, reaching for big goals. Started poker at 15 just playing mates and stuff. At 16 i started playing poker online, played a lot of MTT, SNG & lately spin n go's. Had a job, decided to quit about a week ago & start a full time poker career, before going to UNI (will go if things aren't working out like i would like them to). I think i'm pretty smart & a big competitor, thats probably why this game has gotten my attention to such an extent that i'm making it my job. I love the game of poker, i like talking poker, reviewing hands, reading poker books, talking with mates etc. Since i'm becoming a full time poker player i need as much motivation to play as i can get so thats why i made this goal.

Goals

[]2000 games per month
[]Weekly hand reviews
[]Play MTT's only when bankroll hits 5k
[]Average 8 hours of poker a day
[]Read atleast two books
[]Daily hand reviews if i have an MTT day

Life goals

[]Eat healthy
[]Consume alcohol 1 day per week at most
[]Go to the gym/exercise 3 days per week
[]Quit smoking

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First month goals

[]Play 2000 7$ 6 max turbo or spin n go tables
[]Get bankroll up to 2.5k
[]Study atleast 10 hours
[]Hand reviews every week
[]Average 7 hours of poker a day

First month life goals

[]Eat healthy 6 days per week
[]Go for a run every morning
[]Decrease from a pack of cigarettes to 12 cigarettes a day

Hope you enjoyed reading & will follow me on this journey to a better life & 50k! I will be updating every day, gl at the tables everyone.

First day i've ran very well, played very well & got a nice chunky win. Got a 10x on a spin n go. For the most part played spin n go's since 6 maxes weren't loading at the time i was playing. Played arround 100 spins & 9 6max tables. Also had a nice run in the morning. Gonna post graphs tommorow since i'm already in bed and just remembered to update.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting bankroll = 1000$
Current bankroll = 1202$
Left until i hit the goal = 48798$

Lent a friend 300$ because he had sold action & had problems depositing, so i'll decrease the numbers & increase again once he pays me back.

So the current roll:

Starting bankroll = 1000$
Current bankroll = 901$
Left until i hit the goal = 50100$

Gonna have a long 6 max session tommorow, probably will play around 100 tables.

Let me give you some friendly advice as you start your journey.

1) Don't ever reveal your player names in these forums, because when you told us this,

you admitted to a fairly serious breach of the terms and conditions of any legitimate poker site, for which you can still be banned, even though you are now of legal age in most jurisdictions.

Don't do this, unless he is your oldest, best, brother-from-another-mother friend, in which case just don't do it. There are a hundred threads in other parts of this forum about loaning money to a friend that "had problems depositing." None of them end well.

A good rule of thumb is never loan money that you would not give away. Once you loan it, think of it as gone and don't factor it into future plans. That way if it's returned it will be a pleasant surprise. Of course refusing to loan can end a friendship, but if it does, is that a friend you want? Better to have a reputation as hard to sell.

If you are going to give money away, better to give it to One Drop than to some guy that can't manage his bankroll (or didn't tell you he's busto.) There's lots of poker bigwigs involved in One Drop, and it's a good cause.

Best wishes. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for the tips. The friend that I've lent it to is a highly profiting MTT player/coach who's been giving tips to me since i started poker, i trust him 100%. I did not mention what site i started out on so i don't think it makes a difference since my current account was created after I was over 18 and on a different site. Correct me if I'm wrong haha .

What you told us is that you started out by breaking the rules. That does not mean you were cheating, but it's frowned upon. Kids breaking that rule had an very negative impact on the poker world. Preventing underage gambling was one of the main reasons behind the Black Friday poker ban in the US, which still affects you today. Think how much easier it would be for you if there were 150,000 more idiot rec's and bad players on Poker Stars every day. Playing underage is nothing to brag about.

As for your friend, I'm sure he's a great guy. Of course, the best scammers and con artists seem like the nicest people you will ever meet, and you will meet plenty of them if you stay in poker. Many of the villains in those threads I mentioned were (or are) highly profiting MTT player/coaches who obviously were trusted by their victims. But whatever.
