Ok, I need a challenge, but its not so much a challenge as a real life requirement...

$150 ... need to make it into $1000 by the end of the week

I tried my luck hit and running NL FL HU 3/6 5/10 tables...I did ok but seemed to peak at $400 I thought I should drop way lower in stakes and try tourneys , NL25 etc.... I just bust the roll very fast....

I absolutely hate tournaments just now

I absolute hate SNG's with more than 6 players just now

I am very impatient

I tilt very hard

My poker is regressing and I feel I don't have much time to study

Can anyone suggest a plan for spining up this $$$$ in a week? Give me three plans.

1. VERY HIGH RISK .... My blood craves very high risk but I hate failing this way

2. MODERATE RISK ... As much as I hate grinding out $50, risking it at once.....blowing it...grinding out another 50 then repeating....I do feel there is some merit in here....

3. VERY LOW RISK .... A plan which would see me never go broke but may see me playing poker 24x7 at the very lowest stakes and losing my mind when I constantly get outdrawn by idiots...the tilt this induces (despite the fact I'm losing very little of my bankroll) still puts my anger into overdrive and leads me to donk it all off heads up very fast...I need to avoid this....I am playing on stars...there are now restrictions on tourney buy ins etc....does anyone recommend these...I really love taking shots in the DFG but I haven't done too well in it for a long time because loooong poker sessions just bore me now....I want to mix in some learning with playing so any suggestions fire it up yo!!

Ok, first, sort your tilt issues mate. You are never gonna accomplishing anything when you tilt like hell.

My plan for you:

1. High risk: open 3 tables of 50nl, move a table up to 100nl every time you double up, if you lose a stack on one of the tables, drop 1 table to 25nl etc...

You could also do this at the shortstack tables with 20-50bb, this might even be easier since there are more fish.

2. Very high risk: go sit at a 200nl hu table grind it up to $1000 or busto (probably the latter)


3. smart brm plan: start at 2nl, fix tilt, move up once you win 10bi, keep atleats 20 bi per level /profit (not the fast way obviously.

Trying to grind the $3 6max on Stars...sound ok with a $150 BR? Problem with these games is they are so easy that when Im winning I get bored and start playing them too silly like I could win them with my eyes closed (when I can't) and when I start losing, I take it hard that I am losing in 3 friggin dollar sng's.....

Small sample sizes aside....this is how I feel I should always run

grinding sngs will be your lowest risk. would say that you'll go busto tilting in cash games way faster than in sngs, so pick your poison.

Im just not a machine like that....4 tables is my max, especially 6 handed...i nod off during 180 mans and just start donk shoving every hand so it can be over quicker...

I am having some problems multitabling just now though

My wrist is sore...I have tried table ninja before but I just ended up donk shoving cos its easier to remember the all in key....should I try and learn how to use it though?

Also, my tables open on my laptop before my main monitor, even though my main monitor is set as primary and the taskbar lives there, this is really annoying as it means I need to keep fiddling about with the tables and can't tile them with a hot key, any ideas?

use placemint, will take a few mins (hour?) to learn and setup but will stack all of your tables just how you want them.

also... if you have a pc-xbox controller look into stars hjalper (google it) so that you can use the gamepad instead of keyboard/mouse. makes multitabling a lot easier. can be used instead of or side-by-side with tableninja (if you're playing on Stars that is)

I got the table placement stuff down (managed layouts) and checked out table ninja...it does help...I tried a ninja 13 table session...not so good I actually lost money but there were a few cases of folding aces preflop (wrong button) open shoving 62o (wrong button) which probably cost me a few $$$ as I was ahead in those games at the time....13 tables are not for me though....29% ROI so far....how much $3 games would I need to reach my goal at this rate? only up $50 so far

End of day one.... Started on $150 and about 30FPP....

Good points: using table ninja/multitabling better/up $65
Bad points: donked off $60 at FL HU 2/4 to some idiot Russian, took a quick blast at NL50 HU and managed to recover that loss but I can see this happening too much so I have restricted my table limits to NL25 and 0.25/0.50 Fixed, but I won't be playing this high just yet....capped SNG buy ins to $20 to allow room for moving up fast if it can happen.... is it too risky to go after the $6 6max turbos with a $215 BR? I would only be 4 tabling those thats why I want to move up from the $3 so I can profit faster....

If anyone knew a reliable way to turn $150 into $1000 in a week at the tables they would be too busy doing it themselves to tell you about it.

take the $150 take one buy in on a plo table and hope to run hot, 1 week isnt much time for a $150 bankroll to do anything.. 24 tabling 5nl 10k hands a day at 6:40mins a day for 7 days beating it for 5bb/100 which is possible if your good would give you $350 in profit and bring you to $500 halfway to your goal, so realistically its not possible to go to 1k unless you risk it all and hope to run like god

Thats such a sick idea...just got it going using my PS3 controller with some driver and a JoyToKey application to assign the buttons to key strokes, which I then fire at tableninja...super super fast...thanks best idea yet!!

made $10 this morning by grinding....not happy....capping my cash buy in to 25NL will hinder me but hopefully I can find a few double ups there...

It shoud be 300 later today, maybe even more...running good in the 6max SNG's but seem to finish 2nd more often than 1st....usually when its heads up I lose a 60/40 (I'm the 60) or they suck out big time...I can then only grind so much before its time to shove any junk and pray...its amazing how loose people call off their entire stack when its heads up at those levels....

I jave a $50 stellar reward which is about 4000 VPP's away, I probably won't make it (preferred the $10 ones!) and I know a very easy way of turning 280FPP's into $20 pretty fast and fool proof....so when the FPP's start racking up theres money to be made there....hey I might just do this
