So.... Macau was... not particularly profitable but definitely fun. Games weren't the best and there's a fair bit of waiting in reg lineups but the stakes are high (for me) so that makes regbattling fine. Played basically only 100/200 and 300/600, which is £10/20 and £30/60, so the biggest I ever played, couldn't really get anything going though and ended the trip essentially breakeven, lost £6k.

Biggest hand of trip and biggest one for me now lifetime (goals!!):

300/600, co limps, btn makes it 2100, sb thought btn folded and simultaneously as btn raised, he raises to 4k, I'm bb with QQ make it 16k, sb makes it 36.5k, i flat.

And that is how i lost my biggest pot ever for now for about £26k, rip.

All in all, I think Macau is a good place to play if you play the biggest game. Floor reserves seats for VIP guests (whales) on the biggest games, so if 1k/2k runs, the 3/600 is hurt because if a big whale shows up, they will play 1k/2k and thus make 3/600 mainly regs. Still if you do play the biggest game, there'll obv be good regs and you're going to have to regbattle a fair bit. That does seem like a good system to me though. I would not recommend going there to play 2/5 or 5/10.


With regards to online, taking money out of 100z on stars was a good start...



...but now also took money out of stars lifetime across all games!! Only took 2.3m hands.....

You should stay in One Central in Macau, which is an apartment building right next to the Wynn and rent will be roughly 5-600hkd/night. I'm not sure if you can get a discount for longer periods etc

Interesting story incoming... writing on my phone cause bored in 1/2 waiting for a seat.

I'm playing some 2/5 game in Hippo when the billionaire of previous hands who my housemate & I at this point are quite friendly with, walks in. We make the game 5/10 and play for a while, I end up small winner in the game and play basically no interesting or big hands. In the end the game dies with just him, my housemate, reg and I left and this is where he invites my housemate and me to come along with him for an all-paid trip to Paris, as he goes home again Friday. We have nothing to do so are interested... Reason we were invited (I believe) is cause he likes us and cause we're happy to play bigger games and since he had to go to Paris for work he decided to just take the action with him;D

We arrange a game Thursday night and initially the game was 5/10 and dead; then randomly a variety of fish show up and there's 2 ridic good tables of 5/10/20. I win a bunch of small pots and am up ~3-4k somehow in relatively bad lineup. Then the lineup got good and I insta lose profit;

By now our trip to Paris is confirmed and we meet Friday afternoon to get the train to Paris... I don't want to post too many details but we end up being picked up by a nice car to go to a nice hotel and play the same night.

Games were 5/5 and 5/10 and not exactly interesting, day 1. I set over set someone and end the day up €4k.

The second day our friend is in meetings/doing whatever and my housemate and I go drinking and play 5/5. I play one fun hand;

5/5 I open AA mp 20, co 60, sb coldcall, I 360, co 1360, I put him ai ~3300, he calls with AK and I hold.

Fun story how our friend showed up and went sitting besides us to talk and the dealer said he can't sit there; Our friend tips the dealer a €500 chip and is magically allowed to stay.

We play 5/10 with him for a couple hours after that
