Hey, I spent the last 7 months or so in Thailand and stayed in a Poker house in Chiang Mai.

I learned a lot about Poker and myself, being with a good player that played the same games as me but I believe used to play higher and there were also a couple of mid-high stakes players that made me realize I'm not thinking about things as much as I could/should and I can drastically improve in just about EVERY area by so much.

Graph of the year, not much volume but I'm not a mass tabler and don't play that many tables but.. I've only managed about 300 hours for the year which is pretty lol not even playing 100 hours a month.

I played little to none in May/June travelling Thailand, maybe 2k hands give or take. So this is 4 slacked months and haven't started playing since.

I want to play a minimum of 120 hours this month, but aiming and should achieve higher.

Goals:

[ ] Rebuild roll
[ ] Work on game/study/review/sweats
[ ] Exercise every day by jogging/going to the gym
[ ] Play minimum of 120 hours
[ ] Update Goals with results through out the month

No I'm back in England for the time being, plan on mainly grinding.

Just played my 1st session in 2 months and I feel sooo rusty, will update tomorrow as I don't like to check results until the next day or later.

Dropped like 10 BIs when I first started playing again, just so f'ing rusty and didn't have the heart of the cards to guide me.

Because of small roll I decided to take a stake for a month as I don't like 50nl and anyone that's played it knows it's super rigged.

Upon getting Staked I managed to earn 10BI back in a couple days.

Now just had a -5BI day, I like to count my mistakes/spew/misplayed/shoulda folded earlier/shoulda bombed river.

Made about 2BI of mistakes/non optimal play.. which is okay but shows playing better makes the bad losing days less bad.

Been slacking with schedule and haven't been playing my 5 hours every day and took a day off.

Going to start being more serious about waking up on time and going to start going to the gym as it ensures I play a certain amount of hours within a certain time before going there.

Still planning on reaching my goals for this month... but must get more serious!

Having a hard time sticking to a schedule for whatever reason.. I mentioned getting staked earlier for 30 days not sure if continuing as a real life friend might be helping me out.

Staking went alright but still a bit disappointing by my poor volume

Been slipping back into some old habits that I really shouldn't but trying to sort it out.

I feel a lot more confident about my game than I was in July, making less and less big mistakes and winning more pots.

My goals for the end of August are to be playing with my own money and to actually start saving some money which I've never done in my life.

Well failed those cuz of my lazy volume. This next month I hope will be different but, I plan to party some so not sure how much volume I'll get in..

Hopefully more than this as this is like 10 days worth of volume for the amount of tables/hours I can manage in a month.

Results of all of August -

Not sure how I managed to lose at the PL but happens sometimes I guess

Been awhile since I've updated, keep forgetting I have this thing.

September I slacked off didn't play very well and ran horribly bad -

I think whenever I take too many days off in a row and smoke/drink it has lasting effects on my game that take me awhile to gain back.

October I've been playing most days.. only about 100 hours so still really not much grinding as that averages less than 4 hours a day but I did a lot running and going to the gym this month so I feel great!

Results -

I ran quite well at the start and I lost focus and most of my luck towards the end. Thought I was heading towards a 4-5k month but I couldn't clutch it.

Got to experience a sweet crap on for my last literal hand of the month while closing it all down -

Poker Stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 8 players

MP1: $101.79
MP2: $106.84
CO: $326.68
BTN: $195.81
SB: $108.35
BB: $89.35
UTG: $225.99
Hero (UTG+1): $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is UTG+1 with Q A
1 fold, Hero raises to $3, MP1 calls $3, 1 fold, CO calls $3, 3 folds

Flop: ($10.50) 5 Q Q (3 players)
Hero bets $7, MP1 calls $7, CO folds

Turn: ($24.50) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $16, Hero calls $16

River: ($56.50) A (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $40.47, Hero raises to $74 all in, MP1 calls $33.53

Final Pot: $204.50
MP1 shows 5 5 (four of a kind, Fives)
Hero shows Q A (a full house, Queens full of Aces)
MP1 wins $201.70
(Rake: $2.80)

I think it's a pretty bad shove by me otr.

But he was russian so I thought maybe he still call me off with worse Qx.. but I think he can have Aces on top of quads in this spot.. so I'm likely only getting called by splits/2combos of nuts I think.

I plan to play 100nl in November and then if all goes well, shot take 200nl in December as the games will be juicier and hopefully juicy enough for me to get a nice Christmas bonus and stay at 200+ into the new year.
