Sooo happy new year everyone

Stayed in and grinded a tiny bit. Somehow managed not too have a winning night even though there was about 4 fish to every table. Makes you kind of jealous of those guys who got to be able to play in 2007.

Same guy as the 99vs8T hand. Really not sure how to play this hand on the flop. The jack hits parts of his range pretty well and he doesn't really like to fold to cbets. But ive seen him flat JJ/KK/AA/AK pre in exact same positions and 3b a ton of other stuff so i could/should? just barrell of as he will always be in a **** spot. but not sure, thoughts?

Could make an argument for flatting AK to his raise for pot control and to keep his range widest, depending on if you know enough about his postflop play as last raiser

Is that defend with 98o a standard for you or cus BTN is a fish? If the former then I might have to seriously consider widening my defending range.

I understand as a standard line we can 4bet for value, but if your reads are right and he's slowplaying his big pairs but 3betting a merged range then flatting Ak to a 3bet becomes better imo, even though we're oop.

It keeps in his entire 3betting range so we will likely be ahead all of the time if we hit the flop, and we can control the pot size oop given that we'll miss 1/3rd of the time and villain does not give up to cbets.

Against this type of player who's not folding then I'd look to play smaller pf with AK, especially oop, but be aggressive post if/when we think we're ahead, otherwise we will keep getting into this situation and have no idea what kind of flops are hitting his range, and we either ch/fold or barrel off blindly

Year didn't get of to the greatest of starts. Had to keep quitting sessions to make sure i didnt tilt. Pretty poor volume this month so far, woops. Will be a big weekend!

Zoom is pretty swingy but this feels good. Felt pretty low when i was -1k after 2k hands or so. I can predict a big month coming

So i think ive just had the most stressful week ever playing poker. Think its the worst ive ever run with the amount of coolers/awful run outs ive had. Yesterday i did a 12hour nonstop session at 6am just before i go to bed for some reason (this started at the lowest point of the graph). Went to sleep, woke up and straight grinded for 8 hours. Think ive burnt myself out for the month already . Got an exam on Monday so think im going to take a few days off and revise for that. This is as good as i could come to rostucko, bit dissapointed i didnt actually rostucko it but w/e.

              Month so far graph.

should of bet turn more but at the time i wanted him to think he could jam and get me to fold some stuff.
