Structures are very good on ACR but in terms of $/hr I think maybe max late regging the global tournaments will have a higher hourly. That's just my opinion though. In general I think the fields on global are much softer. Best of luck out there 👍

Did well to cash the $1,050 Day 2! Cashed for $1,706.65 which is a great return from the $11 satty. I got short and lost a decent sized pot to get me back into it when I re shoved JJ in co over ep jam ~10bb. They had A6hh and got there. Then lost my last 4.5bb bvb with A3cc <T2o. Oh well ran good to get that far. Was a really fun experience to play a 1k. Time now to get back to studying and playing my regular schedule so I can eventually(hopefully) get to playing 1k's regularly.

Finishing up a morning/afternoon session. Have a couple of tables left. Don't know why but I got extremely tilted today. Getting angry over silly all ins in small buyins. Guys doing crazy stuff like limping Q9o in the hj and calling my 16bb jam and getting there. I really want to learn how to just laugh it off and move on and not get hung up on something so meaningless. But it does affect me. Literally get a pain in the bottom of my stomach lol. I can be a mental game fish at times and I hate it. Chatting in the chatbox as if anyone gives a f%&k about me getting unlucky lol. I'm going to put it down to not preparing for today's session and being rusty. Haven't done any meditation since my friend was here or been to the gym either. He visited from Ireland on Friday and we hit the bars pretty hard Had some beer and whiskey which i'm not much used to these days. So still kind of feeling the effects of those few days. Just 1 tabled the 1k on Monday so the grind has been very inconsistent(volume is lol low this month given the live stop and some other things going on irl). So going to excuse myself for today but don't want that creeping into a session on a regular basis. Just finished 4th in an $11 rebuy and addon 6max on global for $116 plus a 7th place on chico for $46 or so. Small session slightly losing. Made a big c/raise bluff all in on river in the 6 max. Just checked it out on gto wizard and my line is not so bad. Had 77 w diamond bvb in limped pot 40bb eff. Min bet Jc4d3c flop. villain reg calls. Turn 8d. Here I made a mistake. Solver likes to check here with 77 but I felt villain in question would still call turn with a 4 or 3 quite often as he was sticky. Not too much 8x in villains range at all after flop action. Anyways I bet and he called. River is the 9d. So Jc4d3c8d9d bringing in bd flush. I checked expecting to win sometimes vs a 4 or 3. Villain bet pot and I decided to check jam with diamond blocker. He tanked but ultimately called with a hand you just can't fold. He rivered the bd str8 with Qdtx so easy call. I checked the solver and 77 with a diamond does like to jam at a nice frequency. Puts all his 2 pair hands in the bin. Obviously if he is floating 2 streets with q high then this guy will have plenty of bluffs on the river also. So overall I really like the bluff. Was for the chiplead so would put me in a great spot to win.

Well that's May wrapped up. Similar results in terms of $/hr and $won/game played as March and April. The ABI has increased this month up to ~$30. Playing the 50's more regularly and shot taking some $99/109's on global also. Played a bunch of satties to bigger events. This has helped push it up. I'm still playing all the lower buy ins though as I want to do this gradually and really lower the variance.

The volume was extremely low. Some of the mass grinders would have played more games over a long weekend than I did this month But it's whatever. I had the live stop which was 9 or 10 days of zero online poker and also only played twice in the past week because of spending time with friends and other commitments. Not sure exactly the number but I prob only played 7 days or so in May. So for June I'm really focusing on getting the volume up. Starting with committing to playing this Saturday through to next Wednesday to ensure the first 5 days of June are playing days. I have had to take off yesterday and today so will be well rested and ready for the grind. I don't like setting monthly volume goals as I think it can force people to play even when they're not feeling it and can result in poor play. With that being said, the current volume will not be good enough to be a full time pro. It's something to be aware of and just knowing that I will improve upon it is fine for now.

I may or may not go to the WSOP for 5-7 days. I didn't particularly enjoy the Borgata trip at the start of this month but it's the WSOP and I have never been. It would be something to tick off the bucket list. I grew up watching WSOP main event videos with the likes of Ivey, Antonius, Esfandiari, Negreanu, Harman, Jesus Ferguson, Sammy Farha etc. Plus, I can get 4 comped nights in a bunch of mgm resorts with $100 resort credit due to previous visits with my wife. Flights from nyc are very cheap. Will spend the next couple of weeks deciding.

One fun little challenge I will do is a pushup challenge. I did it for one month a couple of years ago and I think it's a very fun format. Start with doing 20 pushups on day 1. Then increase that number by 5 every day. By day 9 i'm doing 60 and on day 30 I have to do 165. In total, it's 2,775 pushups in 30 days. It plays on the principle that by starting out small, you can achieve great things. If you told me today to do 165 pushups i'd laugh at you and say no way. But this way works and the final day is actually easy(at least that's my memory of the last time I did it). I don't have to do them all in one go either. Can do in 20's, 30x reps, 50x reps etc. So long as the daily goal is reached. I aim to do them during the 5 minute breaks during a session. Doing 30 should take less than a minute and still give time for bathroom break/ see some sunlight/ little breathwork or whatever.

@Deewhizzle Thanks man !

1st day of June in the books and played a solid 9 hour session. Main cashes were as follows:

$109 ticket in an $11 satty on acr
3rd in the $55 2.5k on global for $405
2nd in the $5 rebuy and addon on global for $226.30
9th in the $55 6k on chico for $170
7th in the $11 rebuy 6 max on global for $37.50
24th in the $55 25k on ACR for $129.27 (was over 5k up top)
Just knocked out of the Paul George Mystery Bounty (lol) $110 buyin on global for $140(no bounties)

I made a really bad call down with top pair 8 handed in that Paul George mystery where villain has zero bluffs. Should just have folded turn and river. Pretty big mistake. Whatever it happens.

The 9th in the $55 6k on chico hurt too. Nitty reg who just never bluffs got me twice... Once on Q74KK in a limped pot where villain checks flop and bets turn and river. I made what looks like a standard call with Q2(I checked back flop with weak Q) but he ofc has the k5s for trips. I'm waiting for the day when they show up with a bluff ( like a million offsuit combos that turn gutshots or open enders) but it just hasn't happened yet Then he 3x bvb 22bb eff and I jam A5dd into his AKcc. Maybe it's just a small sample but I feel like a lot of these guys just play very face up and super super unbalanced in so many spots. Anyways rant over. Sometimes just gotta feel salty. Felt like a day where I could have won a lot more but it's ok. Played well for the most part. Got my 20 pushups done too for day 1.

What do you guys do with JJ here on a ft given the stack distribution?
Villain who pots it is obviously a rec so I have zero fold equity once he raises to 8.2bb here.
Tough one

Big session tomorrow

Today was a fun Sunday. Albeit a losing one. Had a few decent sweats but couldn't win the flips deep.

Played the main event $109 250k on chico. Finished 258/2194 for $275.
54/2481 in the $33 75k on ACR for $167.85. Was a sick sweat with 12.7k up top. Lost a big one JJ<AKo for a big stack.
44th out of 1914 entries in the $8.80 15k gtd on ACR. $36. Was 2.7k up top.
Had a $109 ticket on ACR which I used for the warm up but bust out early.
Stone bubbled the $55 6k on global which stung a bit. I shoved 11bb utg w 88 14/16 with 15 paid. Will have to check on hrc but I'm pretty sure it's still a profitable shove. It's not making much though so will defo look into it.
11th in a $5 rebuy addon 6 max on global. Lost a flip for chiplead to bust KTss<88. Small cash.

Had a few more small cashes but no ft's today. This was the highest day of buyins I have had since starting the challenge. I fired a bunch of 109's, 55's, 33's etc but didn't have the bink to make it a profitable Sunday. I have one mtt left. The $99 15k on global. Otherwise it'll be a -$400 day. Completely fine though. I think I played really well today just didn't catch the breaks. Definitely took some shots but it'll be back to the boring afternoon weekly grinds next week

Eh 77<Ak BTN vs BB for 62bb. Would have been good for 2nd place in chips with 47 remaining and 32 paid. $3,800 up top. Story of the day. But again I should just listen to my gut. Guy has been min raise/folding a bunch and then randomly 2.4x opens btn. I have 30 bb and shove 77. I really thought about flatting and playing post with a decent edge and esp given this sizing tell. Chip EV sims at 30bb have us shoving 22-tt almost pure 100% of the time. Looking at '25% of field left' sim it prefers flatting more as we are closer to the money. From now on i'm not gonna rely on the solvers output as much unless i'm playing vs strong regs. Any close spots where I can take the lower variance route will probably be the way to go. I'm giving guys too much credit in a lot of spots and trying to play a 'gto approved startegy' as best I can. That's fine in tougher lineups but the best approach in these weaker lineups is max exploit. That could mean opening 100% btn opens vs certain opponents, 3 bet bluffing a very high% vs certain player types etc. It's very important to know how the solver plays and what gto strategy is but in the end we are all human. Other regs are gonna have me marked as doing x or y wrong and will be exploiting me that way. It's my job to study and get better in those spots and counter them.

One thing i'm very happy with is that i'm now very comfortable playing in the 55's and 109's. I was definitely gun shy when I started taking shots at them and trying to limp into the money/passing up on plus ev spots. Also just giving my opponents too much credit and shying away from making some plays. Getting into my comfort zone now which is what i'm looking for.

Back at it tomorrow with the lower buyin schedule and hopefully grinding out some FT's

Player type and their tendacnies will over ride any solver stuff you see because their ranges arent solver based to start with.

Hey Dean. Absolutely correct I need reminding of that all the time. My thought process now is: Learn the GTO answer>>find out how our opponents are deviating from this strat>> figure out how to exploit each player type to gain the maximum EV possible. It's difficult and frustrating sometimes but fun at the same time.

Hope you had a good Sunday

Just finished up today's session. Early on I was getting absolutely rekt. Like some of the worst run bad I have seen in a while. My head was spinning lol. Bust all the 55's I played very quickly which sucked but eventually got it together with some small cashes. 9th in an $11 freezeout on global. Small cash in a $5 r+a on. Deep ish run in the $6.60 3.5k on acr but fell short with 40 or so left(i think).

Was looking like it was going to another losing day but the $22 7k guaranteed on chico saved the day. I ran so so pure in this. Feels good. There were 442 runners. Entered the ft 7/8 with 10bb where average stack was 40bb. At this stage my job was to try to ladder and finish 5th as there were 4 shorty's (including me). The top 4 stacks all had 35bb+. Made some crazy icm heavy folds that I would never make otherwise and managed to ladder. Then got a couple of double ups when needed. Long story short I grabbed the chiplead with 5 left and was rfi'ing most hands Couple of light 3 bets got thru and had a massive chiplead. I was able toput the others in the icm blender. Eventually when we got to 3 handed, I had 40bb along with another guy who chipped up to 38bb and then a 3rd stack had 20bb. Both were decent players. Payouts were ~$860, $1,100 and $1,510. We did a 3 way ICM deal and I got $1,211.19 as 1st place stack. Very happy with the result.

Can't screenshot on chico so took a photo manually from my phone.

This, exactly. In the JJ hand you posted, gto says shove because our opponent should be 3b hands like 99, KJs, ATs. But the average (and above average, honestly) global player is never taking that line with those hands. So imo they don't have the hands in their range that they need to have in order to make JJ a profitable get in in a cEV situation, let alone in a heavy $ev one. And it's not like ANYONE is sitting there taking notes like "oh wow, over 100,000 hands he never 4b gii JJ utgVSutg+1 so I should 3b him light in that spot/fold when he does gii". Good work overall, you're killing it.

Oh wow very interesting thank you for that. I had no idea. I believe the reason they don't allow screenshots during a game is bc it's part of their anti-cheating rules.

Yea I pretty much snap folded. Reason being is that vs good regs, they will have a lot of 3b folds in this spot as chipleader(and they should). I am literally in an icm blender when they do this. I have to fold almost everything bc of the stcak sizes. It's a complete nightmare to bust this spot. On top of that, this recreactional player makes it 8.2bb and not like 4.5-5bb which would be more standard. Vs regs 3b sizing I know I still have a bunch of fold equity. Here I have <5% i think. Recs aren't 3bing utg1 here to 8.2bb to then fold. I still haven't actually run this spot but i was happy in game to fold. Yea I agree, it's not like they are expoliting me in any way by me making a fold here. It's the other way around really.

Thank you very much btw GL on the grind

Can you recommend a specific software that works for you with Chico and PT4? I am playing most of my volume on GG but I like to mix in some smaller sites

I'm actually using Holdem Manager2. I have a key from like 12 years ago when I used to grind back in Europe Wasn't sure if I was gonna be playing full time as this was a trial period so haven't gone with PT4 or HM3 yet. So i'm not sure about pt4. However, in order to get any HUD compatible with BetOnline, I believe you need to purchase the betonline card catcher. It costs $39.99 for the year. Just google https://acepokersolutions.com/betonline-hud-catcher/ and you'll be good. Best of luck

EDIT: There's a 7 day free trial also so you don't have to commit to it right away if you don't like it

Today was a really fun session. Was able to get it done in the $55 2.5k lunchtime mtt on Global. 1st for $875!! Entered the HU with a huge chip disadvantage against a good reg but ran very hot to come back and get the W. Feels good bc I have lost more HU spots than I have won lately it feels like. This is the 2nd time I have come back to beat this guy HU in this same mtt. He must hate me lol. Playing the afternoon session on global means seeing the same faces again and again as the fields can be very small.

Managed a 6th place finish in one of the $5 rebuy and addons on global for $65.62. I love these tournaments and think they are great value. There is always very speculative play going on at these ft's.

I cashed the $22 5k gtd on chico for $43. I lost a big chiplead pot with 29 left vs a massive punter. I check raised flop with T9hh on Q85hhx and got it in. Unfortunately he actually had a hand for once with KK. We are obv doing very well vs this hand though with ~48% equity and are going to pick up the pot a lot on the flop with the c/raise.

Min cashed the 16.50 5k on ACR for $26. Had to short stack ninja into the money. Was very card dead so happy to cash.

I max late regged the $33 2.5k freezeout on global and managed to get to the FT 2/8. Their was an interesting dynamic as there was what I can only describe as the biggest whale I have ever seen at the table. I mean I thought I had seen it all but this guy took the biscuit :P Dude checked back the nuts twice on the river. 90% vpip. Limp callling 15bb shoves with 95s etc. I lost a couple of pots and was in amongst the pack and so again it was my job to ladder. Eventually got down to 3 handed with me, a reg and the whale. He won some insane allins to stay in it. It was fun to watch. Anyways he again limped the btn. We all had similar stacks but recreational guy had me covered. SB folds and I iso KK. He snaps. Flop 954. I bet big and he snaps. Turn 7 . I jam and he snaps w the nuts 86o. Good for 3rd for $362.50. The rec won the tournament the first hand of HU. Happy for him to get it done.

Tomorrow will be the 5th day in a row on the grind to start June which I promised myself I would do. Then i'm taking Thursday off for sure.

Pushups Challenge so far: 20+25+30+35= 110

110/2775 for the month

40 pushups tomorrow

Still struggling with the sugar intake. Really need to curb that.

Took a few days off playing to recharge. Big session incoming today. Will be playing the next 4 days hoping to get in ~40 hours. Then head upstate to visit my uncle on Thursday.

Had a coaching session on Thursday which I really enjoyed. We went thru some turn barrel spots and upping the aggression which is something I really needed to see. Really enjoying the coaching sessions.

As I am subscribed to the BBZ seminars, Jon Van Fleet aka Apestyles reached out to all students asking if they wanted to be in a student database review on a live zoom stream. I messaged him not expecting anything but he messaged back and yesterday was the day! Was a lot of fun and he also showed me some spots to improve upon. He noticed a lot of the same things my coach Dean did which is a good sign. I have a clear area of focus for study for the coming weeks. Super motivated for the coming weeks.

9 hours into Sundays session and I have 2 tables left. Such a weird one today. I cashed a bunch of tournaments but just couldn't close anything out. My best finish was an 8th in the $55 $12,500 gtd mini scrimmage on global for $312.50. Came into the ft 3/9 and made one sick 4b bluff w ATo utg1 vs utg2 aggro reg 3b. He snap folded which was nice to see. Most people just don't find the 4b bluffs so prob gets more respect than it deserves. Then I 3b bb vs a bad reg in the co. I c bet on AJ3 rainbow and he jams 30bb over my c bet lol. Literally zero hands jam this flop. Anyways all it accomplished was me saving a turn bet so have to thank him really. Dunno how this guy is up 70k on global ( yes i'm being salty it's been a long day). Was $2,550 up top in that one.

CASHES:

16.50 25k acr . 62nd/1842 for $57.65
66$ 50k turbo acr 75th for 107.75
$55 20k chico 23rd for $155.52 (Lost QQ<AQ for top 3 stack with 24 left)
$33 plo 2.5k acr 8TH FOR $84.84 (Lose a massive pot with ten left with nut flush versus 3 pair on the turn. They call off turn and river 6 outer)

$55 80k on ACR 83rd for $138.94
$44 30k ACR 61st for $75

A lot of very deep runs with over 1k entries but no big score unfortunately. That's the nature of sundays. Gonna be a -$347 day unless I can cash these last couple mtt's. A fun day but definitely struggled later on in the session.

Got 90 pushups done today to catch up for some I missed. Pushup count for the month: 230/2775

The day saver! Profitable Sunday after all. It's been a 13 hour session and i'm shattered. Back tomorrow for the afternoon grind.

Slightly winning session today. Solid 8 hours. Frustrating finish to the day but can't win em' all. Had a huge stack coming into the ft of the $16.50 7.5k gtd turbo on ACR as part of their VFTS Series. 1/9. 529 entries with $1,705 up top for first. Chipped up a few hands as their were 5x <10bb stacks. That's when everything started to go wrong Jammed 7bb effective A3o in a spot where all the shorties can't call wide. One of them had AA though so rip those blinds. I 3b an aggro Portuguese player w A9o and he flatted with 77( the FT is on the ACR replayer so can see the ft whole cards). UTG vs UTG1. He should not be flatting here imo. Mostly playing 4b/folds. My range is very polarizes to nuts and Ax blockers. He will just have to fold on almost every runout except a 7.Turns out he flopped quads and I lost the min thankfully only losing 2bb postflop. I was wary of the flat as he should have mainly traps and suited high cards. A few shorties got KO'd and we got down to 6 handed. Shoved CO ATo and sb calls off 7 bb w 66 and holds. Get short and shove bvb T7dd and BB whale snaps K9o and I'm out in 6th for $352.67.

Also got 6th in the $55 2.5k on global for $137.50. 7th in the $33 2.5k on global for $106.25. 3x ft's but early bust in all of them.

Couldn't get into the top 3 podium spots today but a winning day is still a step in the right direction.

Back at it again tomorrow
