Alright half way through got my 100hrs for the month, 100 more to go. The beginning of month I was running well and playing well tbh I was just in games where I was outmatched. Often times i'd find my self on a table and think "I'm the weakest player at this table" and probably had to much pride to acknowledge that and find a softer game.

At the low point I just decided **** this I just want to win so I just been playing soft games since. So my current upswing doesn't mean anything significant because I attribute the success to game selection and run good. Often people complain about run bad (my self included) but I never see anybody saying i'm winning because i'm running hot. Well I will admit this to be the case for me currently. A 5k week is still something I will be proud of though.

I am actually on a bit of a life heater atm. I had some plumbing work done this month for my house that I rent out. The plumber called me to tell me the work is done and that he'd call back later for my credit card information but that was almost three weeks ago and I haven't heard back from him. I also have been getting personal training at the gym where I bought a 20 session package for about $1400 in the beginning of June but to this date they have not taken the money out. The sessions are coming to an end soon and the trainer has been asking me if I want to do more but I am holding off because if they look into billing me for more sessions they might realize they haven't billed me for the first package. Lastly my new assistant has been doing a fantastic job which makes the days go by much smoother this week.

Wow I am envious, who works for $50 a day and gives BJs too that is hilarious.

The first week played in some tough games which was not good and I paid the price, second week I ran hot and table selected, third week I took some midstakes shots and didn't win, and the last week I just played 100nl mostly on ft and wasn't so bad. I had a lot of fun this month playing and that is important.

I play about 80% 100nl fast fold vs 200nl ff atm. I play about 80% ff vs regular tables as well.

My HU challenge

I have been trying to get those last 5bi for it seems like a couple months now but looks to just be a case of low volume. I think once I get to 40bi I will not go for 20bi at 100 but rather just move to both 100/200 at the same time and finish out the year doing that as the hu challenge is monotonous.

As for my screen name well if you see the name sendmamoney at the tables i'm sure it is me but I don't use it for every network.

Lastly I think you should start a PGC and link me to it Reason being is that it is not enough to have a goal but you should have an outline for how you will complete that goal with many shorter task in between. You don't have to make a thread but I think you should write out your goals and how you plan to achieve them. I probably won't get to 100k this year but I am pretty sure (I haven't actually looked) i've made more this year than the last two years combined so this challenge at least pushed me closer to my full potential.

Oh and yeah I got pretty lucky with the assistant I played that situation to it's max ev i'd say.

Saturday was the biggest festival in north America caribana and I went with one of my long time friends lets call him Eff. I have been cutting (dropping body fat) for a couple months now so I wasn't planning to drink all day, infact I have not drank since my brothers b-day. While there we passed by my HS GF and she must of gained 100lbs so I walked by w/o saying hello.

I used to work in the restaurant industry as a server before I was playing poker and a bunch of my buddies work at The keg Steak House so after the festival we met up with my friends/former co-workers that work there. While there my friends tried to get me to drink which I had passed on all day but I gave in and had a 67 Molson (67 calorie beer). We were waiting until everyone was done work to head over to The Biermarkt (a bar) and in that time I had two more 67 Molsons. I figured it was a pretty good day as all day I figured I had the equivalent to one beer.

When we got to The Biermarkt (about ten of us guys) they all ordered a round of drinks and Ndrew (we'll call him) said "no more 67 Molsons Sendmamoney" as he placed a beer infront of me. I left it sitting there but before long I had two beers, a shot, and a hard drink in front of me. My "friends" gave me a ultimatum, drink the four drink I had now or they would keep placing drinks in front of me and not leave until I finished them but if I drank them they would not get me anymore drinks. I succumbed to the peer pressure and drank them and as my inhabitations dissipated my "friends" never stopped ordering me drinks. I ended up drinking around 15 drinks and the funny thing is I was the designated driver.

Two of our friends Ick and Parrous are the pretty boys of the group but they both have long term gfs. What usually happens is they pick up girls and bring them to the group which is the task they had this night. As the night went on Ick's GF showed up (I guess she was his ride home) and as I was drinking in the corner as the group had spread out throughout the bar, a couple of girls that my friends had brought over to our table came up to me and asked to buy me a shot. I said sure and went with them to the bar, had the shot and made small talk with them. They were I'd say a 5.5 and a 7 so I guess together a 12.5? Anyway a better man could have worked that into something but I just had the shot and went back to the table.

Eff I would say is a high functioning alcoholic so I had asked him to drive but he had been drinking a lot since noon and even he wasn't comfortable driving so I ended up having to drive us home. After dropping off Yan I scrapped his brother in-laws car on the way out the driveway and at that point Eff decided he would drive the rest of the way home and I'd have to stay at his place for the night. I told Yan I'd pay for the damages and we left and made it home safely.

I hate that I drank and broke my cut rules and even worse that I drove as that was so ****ing stupid but typical of me I suppose. Cutting while having a social life is probably as difficult as moving up like 3-4 stakes levels. Anyway I hope to get in a long bike ride tomorrow to burn some of this off and I hope I learned my lesson.

20/50nl HU graph


I would say compared to the hu regs at 50nl I am somewhere in the middle of the pack so I have some concern with moving up but I took my time and earned the limit jump so i'm going for it. Rather than just play 100nlhu for another 20bi my plan is to play 50-200nlhu for 40bi and figure out my next step from there. I have been studying a bit more hu lately so my interest is slightly higher and between 3 limits I should be able to get more hands in.
