hi everyone,

i've been reading this bit of 2+2 for a while and really like it but have been scared to make my own thread in case i fail or no one finds it interesting and hates me. but **** it, it's a poker forum and i'm playing some pokers with a goal so here we go....

About Me:

I've been playing online since about 14 making and busting rolls more times than i would like to remember. Got a coaching/staking deal that took me from 10nl $50 roll to $10k roll at 1/2. Finished underage and unable to cashout with $8k, got to $49k pretty quickly playing up to 25/50. busted it trying to get to $50k one day and played 100/200 like a hero lol.

Can't really remember what happened after that apart from quitting for a while and feeling like dying. Got to 18 years old deposit on ipoker everythings going smooth pretty sure i got to $50k again and busted it cant even remember how.

Since then been grinding HU on and off stakes making enough money to get by while busting some rolls in between without getting a **** job. Don't need any money really anyway still a student and get student loans to live on.

So.... a month or so ago i'm burnt out on a stake, don't feel i can beat the game anymore and am getting less and less action everyday on FTP. I finish the stake with a little bit of money like $3k to my name and ship it onto party poker to grind 100nl hu. obv lose, move up to 2/4 obv lose, move up to 5/10 and usually this is where i go busto again and quit poker. I said to myself i'm actually going to try and win and really play good at least give it my best non tilted shot....

End up winning and going on a run playing everyone who would play me up to 25/50 (hardly anyone, ****ing bumhunters). Get to like $30k cash out some lose the rest.

Start making deposits all over the place on ipoker betfair ftp and party again for 25/50. Betfair is obvoiusly ****ing rigged and never won there. FTP is pretty much rigged make some $10k deposits running up to like $25k then getting destroyed by the deck. Ipoker saves my life numerous times when I chase my losses there at £50/100 shipping some big pots.

Went on family holiday over christmas come back 2 days ago at like 5am with just a few hours sleep, had no internet or poker for a week when i was away. can't wait to play when i got back within an hour of being home i lose $5k on party getting rivered disgustingly standard deposit £10k straight onto ipoker for 100/200 play the most ******ed i have done so far since this started and lose so in an hour of being back im down about £13,500.

tired and tilted i ban myself on ftp for 180 days, ban ipoker for 1 year, ban betfair for 1 year, ban on party for 1 year and leave stars cus i'm already banned on there till next week. so i've deleted all the sites from my computer and holdem manager so can't give an updated graph.

this is ipoker untill i came home and lost from holiday:



at my peak of this i had about £45k/$70k. now i have £25k in my bank and £4600 cash. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BUSTO AGAIN!!

The Plan:

My plan now is to grind live cash and tournaments around the UK and maybe a bit of stars when my self exclusion is over. I played a £1k live tourny the other day but didn't cash and won £2k in the cash games. I go to uni but still have quite a lot of free time to play so I think I can make this happen if I don't **** up and do anything stupid like I have been. As soon as my accounts are unlocked in 180 days or a year i'm sure I'll start playing more online again, however i don't really care the games online suck now. Table ratings needs to be exterminated they need to stop the bumhunters from absolutely destorying the games and making the lobbies/poker in general look stupid.

Goals:

I turn 21 in june 2012. Before then I want to...

Have £100k/$155k in my bank account so I can buy a place to live for myself or do whatever I want after I finish uni. This is my ultimate goal and has been for years. If I can do this I will be so happy

I'd also like to play some WSOPE events including the £10k ones.

Try not to go busto.

So I have about 1.5 years to make £70k+ somehow and not spend. I spend too much money on pointless **** and this is gunna have to stop.

If I busto i don't care too much, I just become a normal person for a while and see what life brings.

There is lots more I could write and lots missing but its blurry and probably not very important, the main thing is i need to take some serious monies and get to £100k as quick as possible cus I'm not a big fan of hardcore grinding anymore.

To start this off, I've just booked a holiday with mates to amsterdam from jan3rd to jan7th... Taking my cash to play the cash games at the casino. Last time i went a year ago I took 1 buy in and lost JJ to Q5 which pissed me off. This time i'm rolled and guna try get some serious revenge. The game they play is 5/5 euro 1k max buy in.

i don't really buy big things. i spend too much in general on everything and most of my money is chilling in my lungs because i waste it all on weed (cutting that down fo sho)

biggest thing i bought was my technics turntables mixer speakers and vinyls etccc which in total is probs like £3k so not that much

i might be going out on a whim here, but.....

Im doing a business management degree, 2nd year in, what a flippin waste. Degree's are not worth that much anyway, you'll end up gettin sum crap 9-5 job and most of ur salary will get taxed anyway. Poker for the win!! Gl with ur challenge.

CD - yeah i'm in second year living in burnage near the kingsway nice house but a bit of a mission away from everything... hows philosophy treating you? ha i wasn't in cambridge but some mates were and some are this year as well, don't think i could handle living there. i was @ kincardine court with a nice little en suite

Ah I'm not actually familliar with burnage, but sounds to me like a decentish area, not typical student housing?
We live in a decent newly built 8 person house with families around so its pretty nice.
Philosophy - lol basically same as you, not too good, not really any point in it, but no other course I really wanted to do anymore as none of them are that applicable to real world, I'm here for the lifestyle more than anything, and because whilst im grinding poker my parents hate it (despite proven profit) so I try and give them a bit of happiness by attending. Think business is one of only applicable degrees there is (besides pgce's in teaching etc).
Hm nights out, always went to footage on a Tuesday last yr for kareoke, went Tiger Tiger a lot on Mondays, Thursdays went to 42s loads and ended up in 5th for a while on fridays (not a fan of it tho).
What about you? I was thinkin similar, if ur in 2nd yr we prob have couple mutual friends - not many of mine know about this whole forum thing tho and would prob think I'm biggest geek ever if they did
