Hi,

I am new to 2+2 and found this thread so I said I would post my challenge that I set for myself back in May.

My goal is to reach 5/10blinds by May next year. Hard challenge I know but doable I guess!

I done out a buyin table(that I have to stick to) that looks like the following -

STAKE----BUYINS NEEDED----DROP BACK BUYINS
1c/2c--------- 125 --------- -
2c/4c -------- 150 ----------- 125
5c/10c ------- 300 ----------- 250
10c/20c------- 600 ---------- 500
25c/50c ----- 1,500 -------- 1,250
50/1 -------- 3,000 -------- 2,500
1/2 --------- 6,000 -------- 5,000
2/4 -------- 12,000 ------- 10,000
3/6 -------- 18,000 ------- 15,000
5/10 ------- 30,000 ------- 25,000

I don't play SNG so I don't need a table for that.
I do play alot of Scheduled Tournaments but I am sticking to under 20$ ones for now anyway.

Progress so far -

May was a good month for me that made me jump from 1c/2c to 10c/20c with a role of E650. I had a few schedule cashes with also E250 rakeback.

June was a massive month for me and I ended the account on E2,822. Which left me just shy of the 50/1 mark.
I also had a few cashes in scheds with a 440$ 2nd place finish in Omaha Hi/Lo game which was my 2nd ever time playing Omaha .

July I didnt get a chance to play much as I was away for most of it.
I only got E40 rakeback which shows how little i played.
I ended the month on E3,120 ready for 50/1

August I didn't play much cash at all but broke roughly even on 50/1(slightly down).
I am getting slightly worried that I am going to be stuck on 50/1 if I just play cash as I don't seem to have the edge that I had on the lower stakes.
I played the Omaha Hi/Lo Scheds again and won it for $480.
I don't know how I won it really I guess it's beginners luck
I also won 3 other scheds for $440 $426 and $409 along with numberous other cashes to finish on E4,779.

September so far!
On the 1st I managed to win $800 dollars on 50/1 playing a bit of HU also.
I also played the Omaha Hi/Lo game and realised it was beginners luck .
I went out of a hand where I thought I had the nut low obviously I didn't know the rules too well lol.
To date I am exactly even for the month on cash (running poorly heads up) so down 8bi since then .
Although I have raked a nice bit so that will come in handy towards the end of the month.
I've also came 3rd in a scheds and a few small cashes so my account is at E4,881.

So im 27K off my target but I am making steady progress so far which I am really happy about, considering I'm not the best cash game player in the world and far from it!

My only main concern is that I'm not going to be able to beat 50/1 level or higher at the cash games as I seem to do better at Scheds but I sure will give it my best shot.

I also qualified for the (Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival €250,000 GTD) which I cashed in last year so hopefully I can have a nice score in it to help me reach my goal.

Any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated

Good luck!
I believe "buyins needed" should be "euros needed", and same for the drop?
