This is to push myself, get off my lazy butt and start the grind for 10k.

I got a full time job and am married with a 1 y. o. boy so it is not that super easy to motivate myself and get on with a regular daily grinding schedule
--> That's the main reason for maintaining this blog and sharing my experience starting on the micros.

As mentioned trying to get in some volume most days of the week. The plan is approx. a minimum of 1k hands per day that I'm grinding. I'll play on regular PStars NL2 6max CG tables with $127.89. That's what I currently have in my account. Not exceeding 4-6 tables ever is the plan to maintain quality and focus. I love to adapt and be exploitive over being a sick volume player clicking buttons while auto piloting (though I deffo could 24-table but not going that route).

4-tabling and the planned 1k hands will mean around 3-4 hours per day as I'm expecting ~75 hands/hour/table. Shouldn't be way off this estimate, right?

Not table selecting really and I'll move up when I have 40 BIs of the next higher limit so not super aggressively moving up and more on the BR nitty side of things which isn't too bad pressure-wise in case bad beats and downswinging periods come in...

Not ever posting my EV bb as I don't believe in that BS
I advise everyone to do the same and not ever switch on the EV line in your PT / HM graphs and resist to taking a curious look. IMO EV is more or less meaningless.

Starting my challenge's 2nd session right now and will keep you posted about the results soon. Today's grind won't be 1k hands but maybe 500 as I'm a bit tired today.

By the way: no time frame for my challenge either as I got plenty of time

So let the challenge begin!

PS: "I got plenty of time" as in nobody's chasing me and I don'T care whether it will take 6 months or 2 years to reach the 10k

I hope this will be entertaining none the less. Might as well be more so in case I downswing badly as there'll more reason to sweat for a nice upswing or grind back up IMO

Got many more hands in than planned by first 6- then later closing down 2 and 4-tabling NL2.

Super bumpy session with ****ty run in between but turned out great overall and I giraffed my way back up: :-)

Re: EV line and not showing. Why not just show your green line? SD and NSD aren't probably that important either. There's only one that really matters.

I planned on grinding today but I'm to tired and am about to pass out I shouldn't grind like that and will call it a day for today. However, I'll see what interesting hands I can find from the last 2 sessions or whatever comes up during the next one and will deffo post at least 1 interesting hand per update. Sounds like a plan, doesn't it?

You couldn't be speaking the truth much more: what matters is the winnings = green. However, what's IMO despicable about the EV line is that it is some sort of "fantasy" thing in many ways: you interpret all kinds of stuff into it given a good / bad run of luck etc. What's more it is generally calculated wrong. It doesn't have any value whatsoever IMO and is wrong on so many levels. The SD and non-SD lines, however, are a reality and I don't view them as particularly bad or detrimental to my mind set. Maybe it makes some sense to leave them for now and see if and how they change while I'm getting in volume and while moving up.


By the way: I'm playing a pretty LAGtard style of 36/28 which seems to be OK for now on NL2. Might be I have to adjust later but we'll see

Off to sleep now, nighty night. To be fresh for tomorrow's next session crushing NL2 getting maybe 0.5% closer to 10k...
