I've actually been thinking about it. There are 3 main reasons though:
1. I have no idea how to run a business.
2. There might be a reason why nobody is doing this, that I'm not seeing.
3. I don't know what my business would be doing/selling exactly.

Gl, nyu! Vaaaamoooo
Public administration.
After I finish uni, I'll start playing poker professionally. I'm making more at poker than I'd probably ever be able to make at a normal government job.
In my country you need to work for 40 years to retire at 60 y/o, or 15 years to retire at 65 y/o. Both of my grandpas died when they were 60, so I don't really care all that much about getting pension anyways. I'm good at saving money, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'd probably start officially working at around my 50th birthday (maybe open my own business) and then get pension at 65. That's the long term plan hah.
Government jobs are a good back up plan though in case poker becomes completely illegal in my country or something. It shouldn't be too hard to get them even without much work experience and you don't just get fired for no reason.

I actually used to play up to 600nl at some point too, hah.
A fun story:
In 2013 I deposited 50€ to the cake poker network. I first started playing 20nl HU vs regs (back then I was still unsure weather I should focus on HU or 6-max). I was running like a god. I kept winning with almost no variance and moved to 50nl - still winning. Then to 100nl - still winning. 200nl - still winning. I felt like a poker god, "I'm the best HU player in the world!". Then I moved up to 400nl and was break even after a few sessions. Then moved up to 600nl to play vs probably one of the best 600nl regs. This was his graph at the time:
Let's just say that the variance hit back. I had the worst $ downswing in my life. Lost around 1500€ in a single session while short stacking 600nl.
I felt really terrible at that point. Was still up 702€ for the month after all that, but decided to stop playing HU and focus on 6-max from that point on.
And yes, that all happened in the span of 1 month.
I can't PM you btw. You don't have enough posts yet.
