It's the hookers and blow imo.

Nah think it's the always changing weather this time, the last time I got sick was definitely because of the partying/blow, this time it's the weather.

Like I said above, feeling a tad better today, I'm hoping I'm feeling close to 100% again by Friday so I can go hard all weekend at the hypers.

Think L@P and I are going to get the grocery shopping done today, then will see how I'm feeling and hopefully will put in some volume.

Gla today!

Yea for sure, all the other times I got sick were party/drug related, this time wasn't.

Calling it a day now and going to go to bed and hopefully get some good sleep, my runny nose is absurd, my face ****** hurts from blowing my nose so much . Gonna take some sleeping pills and hopefully pass the **** out.

Obv bricked both the $300 and $500 6m I got into, pretty frustrating how badly I'm running in them, might hold off on playing them til my own personal finances are a bit healthier; they actually decrease my vpps/hr as I usually keep my table count a tad lower, so they aren't truly benefiting me THAT much, cept for the fact that these super soft games I get in are probably worth $12-15/game on avg at a ~$200 abi.

Yesterday VPP Count: 159,620.71
Current VPP count: 162,278.95
VPP's accrued: 2658.24
Hours: 2.4
VPP/hr: 1107.6
Pace: ~ 221,198

Hoping to be healthy by Friday so I can try to put in 1500 games between Friday and Sunday! Means Ill likely take it ez once again tomorrow, been just staying in bed (altho not sleeping the entire time) for 12 hours while I've been sick this time, hoping it speeds up the recovery process
03-22-2012 , 09:31 PM
Changed it up today as my hypers have been super gross all day long with 5-6 regs in every F game, so decided instead of just not playing, I'd play some Zoom. Enjoyed it and think I've found the game I'd like to mix in when my $100 hypers are loading really tough like they have been all day. Not getting many vpps/hr at it, but think it'll help out my deeper stack game along with it being a profitable game to grind.

Definitely lots of spots I'm unsure about, so I'm hoping to get some help from other posters itt!

Here's some of my biggest winning and losing hands, and here's a link to a hand I posted in the cash forums wondering what I should do OTR, thoughts appreciated on any hands.

Biggest Winning Hands

-Was pretty obv what he had imo, just jammed over as I fig'd he'd call with all overpairs if I jam but would be more suspicious if I small 4b OTF and I didn't want to flat as I wouldnt be sure I could get all the money in by the river. My read on the situation was right and he stacked off with LOL JJ here.

-Even though TT and QQ are going to be a decent part of the villians range I guess, I feel that with his stack and me not recognizing the sn (i think hes a random but not totally sure, I don't know all the cash regs though I do have tons marked), he's going to have a lot of other random 1 pair hands/draws and feel that my shove OTT is fine, thoughts on my thought process? Well, won't be playing much more zoom most likely as I don't have a fold button and it is needed in LOL rush/zoom pokerz :P. Plus I don't get enough vpps for it anyhow. Didn't end up getting many vpps on Thursdays (and got murdered on the tables, like -2800 or so), but did get in about 8000 vpps today! Got most of the VPP's in 2 crazy sessions of $100 hypers where I was 15-20 tabling the entire time, games were popping off super fast and it led to like 1700 vpps/hr in that ~4.5 hour stretch of time

Is there something special you do to get HEM1 to show luck adjusted winnings for hypers? I run the latest version and the red line virtually follows the green one, definitely not working it out correctly.

Edit: Nm just back-read further up the thread ... sighhhhhhh @ the process

Yea like you saw, it's a huge pain in the ass , wish it was easier.

Ugh just woke up, was a fun night last night at Papas&Beer with a lot of the Rosarito crew; too bad there wasn't many spring breakers out there .

Ended up leaving the group again to go to TJ with another person, and I wasted like $350 that I have NFI what I did with; I might spend a lot of money when I go out but I always know where it goes, so this really pissed me off that I just basically blew $350/$500 that I spent last night. So as I said above, my punishment to myself is no going out to TJ til the beginning of May, so sounds like a lot of grind time from now on .

I really want to buy a car soon anyway, so cutting down my fairly large club bill each month is going to be a great way to help save. Getting tired of not having a car down here + I'm pretty sure I'm going to be staying down here for 2+ years now, absolutely loving it here and now that I'm committed to staying, I want to get some wheels. Once I get my bank accounts back to a more stable amount, will be going to SD and starting my car shopping!

Looking at buying possibly a Camaro, have always wanted one and almost ended up buying one in 2010. If not, I'll probably end up just buying a jeep or SUV

    03-24-2012 , 04:18 PM

    nice day, nice car, GL
    03-24-2012 , 05:12 PM
Possibly stupid question: Would you register the car in the US somewhere, or in Mexico? If you do it in the US, will anybody down there give you a hard time about having a US registered car down there for a long period of time? (especially a noticeable one like a Camaro)
    03-24-2012 , 05:34 PM
It definitely would have been fun but i need to get **** done this weekend and no doubt i would have gotten trashed. Knowing that it ended up in TJ makes me even more glad i didnt go. After i messaged you i turned off skype cuase i knew id end up going if i stayed on and saw what ppl were doing. Ive been nitting it up at poker and being overly aggro going out and i really need to reverse those

Haha, nobody better touch my damn car :P. It'll be safe at Calafia as it's gated with guards around all the time, I'll just have to be slightly careful where I take it out in town, I don't foresee any problems though, Rosarito is just a sleepy beach town. I likely would not take it to TJ though.

And yea, I might mix in a little zoom now and then just to continue to work on my deep stack game

Gl this weekend if you're Merging it up!

Well I'm going to be buying the car in the US and then driving it straight down to Mexico and it won't come back to the US unless I return to move back home/Vegas/elsewhere. So I'm not going to bother to add it to my American insurance as it'll only be driven in Mexico and I can pick up car insurance for Mexico for super cheap, like $120 for the entire yr (according to Boliver/others who have cars down here). So yea, it'll be reg'd in the US and I'll have US plates, but I'll have Mexican insurance so it's all good, lots of people have their vehicles down here.

Haha yea, probably best that you didn't go with, woulda ended up getting in trouble with me last night :P. You won't be getting peer pressure from me though anymore, done going out for a while, really really want to save up ASAP for a ****** car.

Pretty meh day today, ended up only grinding hypers for a short while as I was playing the poker maximus events today on Merge and I find it too hard to grind hypers while multisiting, so turned the back half of my day into an MTT session. Only cashed 1 mtt, 5th in the $22 7.5k on Merge, luckily that wasn't on my stake so I made $500 for myself on the day .

Think my MU is sitting at about $9k right now, should hit both my 200k milestone and next $4k bonus this week, so hopefully I can start my long trek to catching the redline and have a great week!

the hands are kinda old so won't comment individually but basically two key things, a) don't be afraid to go for what may seem like "thin value" (top/over pair, 100bbish stacks) in 3-bet pots, ppl call all the time, and plus the hand/s you posted they don't even have to hero call for a value shove to be good (i.e. for example the aa hand, they can easily have kx)

secondly plan your bet sizing for future streets, e.g. betting more on flop so that you don't have to overbet shove turn, or just betting smaller to bet flop bet turn and shove river

Lol yea, I'm getting crushed at everything, think -8k at sngs, -2k at cash and -1k at mtts in the last like 5 days.

Took it easy yesterday and only played sngs for a short while when the games were too soft to pass up on and obv got crushed and redline was negative .

Want to get to 200k vpps by the end of March, sitting at 182k right now so should be very doable.
