So my Sunday ended pretty quietly, made a bunch of deep runs and kept getting unlucky deep, but hey, that's tournament poker for ya! JJ<AK for 4/61 deep itm of the $109 kickoff, also had 4 other 19th-30th place finishes in MTT's ranging in bi's from 5.50-27.50. And also cashed pretty deep itm of the big $11 and lost AA to TT for piles; AK<QQ for a big stack ITM of the big 55 as well. Anyhow, felt good to build a ton of stacks, just needed to win a few more key hands!

Today I took the entire day off and spent most of the day doing errands and then boozing it up with Jared. We went and chilled with 4 of the other Rosa boys and watched MNF. Just getting home now and I'm not sure if I'm going to play tomorrow or not....all I do know is that I am for sure going to the HK club tomorrow night for the Christmas party whether or not I find someone to go with or not. It's kinda sour because basically everybody is going back to the US today/tomorrow or Wednesday, so most of the guys that I roll with to the HK are unavailable...have 2 guys that might push back their travel days a day just to go to the HK though .

Anyway, enough rambling, tomorrow should be an awesome night but will def be better if I have someone to roll with.

Josh, maybe you should look into playing hypers during the week and then MTTs over the weekend. I only say this because you seem to play them pretty well and if stars add in higher $$ hypers then you could make SNE without having to play on the weekends as well.

Is it only me that feels like this is seedy, morally reprehensible and disgusting? I dunno, but if I ever felt the need to pay for sex, (which I seriously doubt) I wouldn't brag about it anywhere, especially not in a Poker Goals & Challenges thread read by a LOT of people.

Not trolling, long time lurker just interested in people's responses. Maybe I'm just not a strip-club/hookers kind of guy, but it just shocks me how open you are about all this.

My advice would be - shape up, meet some girls that you don't have to pay. I am 100% sure that this would make you feel better, increase self-worth etc.

I understand poker and degenerate behavior go hand in hand, but they don't HAVE to, and as someone already said a few pages back, this will seriously damage any chance you have of getting a deal with sites, if I were in charge of promoting any poker site, an open "john" would be at the bottom of my list.

Just like people were raised up 100 years ago to think that showing your legs on the beach was dirty you were raised to think buying sex is dirty.
In todays society showing your legs on the beach is no longer dirty. In fact people laugh at the stupidity of history not realising they are equally stupid themselves just that they have been raised with other beliefs and they do not realise that in 100 years from now people will laugh at them.

Just like religious people believe in the religion they were raised to believe in without looking in the other religions. What are the odds that just their religion is the right one? What are the odds any religion is the right at all?
It is mostly stupidity, but atleast as a whole the religions do much good. Except the no sex before marriage and other stupid things religious people seem to think is gods will just because they were raised to believe it and is not smart enough to think for themselves and question what is right in an objective manner.

But yes he probably should not mention the strip clubs in this forum. But the only reason for that is because if he wants to be sponsored he has to respect the opinion of stupid and narrow-minded people.

Good points, and it has definitely made me think about the situation from different angles, but I do feel however that the parallel drawn between showing your legs and paying for sex is a little stretched.

Obviously morals are subjective, maybe I shouldn't have come at it from the 'morally reprehensible' standpoint, and come at it from the 'depressing and unnecessary' one, which I also feel. Also, my upbringing was in no way conservative, I have progressive parents and peers, and I was never taught that paying for sex is wrong- in fact I know that both my parents support legalisation, if only for the safety of the working girls.

Even if paying for sex isn't morally wrong, paying strippers in Mexico to 'bang out' is dangerous (I doubt that they have particularly stringent health policies), depressing (If you have to pay for sex, you're doing something wrong), and just really, the crux of my argument, nothing to be proud of, at all.

Anyway, other than the 'stupid' that you threw in at the end, that was a good argument. /derail
