My HEM/TN/PS spazzed out again, I'm really wondering if this is a PS error or if it's my setup somehow. Really annoying cuz until I stop loading, run games out and exit PS and open it back up, not a single game after the first one comes up wrong will be picked up by HEM so obv HUD won't work. Also my TN gets kinda screwy with it too, my betsizes won't work and it doesn't show the # of bb's as you can see in the top left corner of my top right table (does the #NAN error)

Running pretty badly today in card distribution, have run into QQ+ HU/bubbles tons and tons of times, guess it was due though after my heater even tho im still over 1k under ev .

Feeling really sluggish/tired today so gonna go take a walk on the beach and hopefully the fresh air will wake me the F up then come up and shower and try to keep loading. Will try to go to bed super early tonight so i can be on the saturday grind by 4-5am.

Not responding to anyone on skype til monday at the earliest, so don't feel bad if the message sends through and I don't respond; I really need to focus and buckle down

Ata Boy Nice Fukn Heater by the way I am so looking forward to reading about your SNE chase next year! It would be so sick if you could maintian your current Hourly plus reach SNE.

Lol today has been a trainwreck in terms of card distribution, my EV line is so nasty today....hopefully improves in my next session. Spots that I'd be shoving hella wide on im getting rags, and running into the very very top of peoples ranges on bubbles and even HU all over. Lol'd today at one point when I had 2 of my HU games out of my stack, I jam both sbs and BB picks up AA in one and QQ in the other. Oh well, was due for some bad CD, gotta just keep grinding, the daily swings in hypers are dumb anyway .

Getting back on the grind in a sec, gl to anyone grinding

It's pretty incredible to think that in the tiny fragment of the poker world that is $30 6-max hyper turbo sit and go's on pokerstars, there are 5-10 people planning to take $100,000+ out of the economy. I mean, pokerstars will take millions, grinders will take a pretty huge amount too, pretty incredible given that even the worst fish aren't that -EV in these games. The mind boggles trying to understand where all the money in the poker economy comes from.

I was under the impression that most, if not all, of their profits would be via rakeback from PS in the form of bonuses. There are very very few winning regs in these games and if you can be break even for the year then you will be taking home $100k. But obv Jdwag isn't break even but many others are and even if you are -1% you would still prove to be profitable after rakeback

when u guys speak about rakeback you all speak about jdwag trading his vpp points for money right?

Yeah, that and other volume/VPP related bonuses.

I admit that sometimes I wonder where all the money comes from too, but I think in general we tend deceive ourselves. For example, you will hear people say all the time that a certain game is "completely regged up". While it might be true that there is an average of 4-5 regs/table at some points of the day, I've never gone a single day without seeing a couple of handfuls of completely random people accross a set of my tables. Also, one thing that is especially true at ST's/Hypers is that players that are good at other forms of game will drop in from time to time, and while these people don't tend to be huge losers, they are frequently not quite as solid as somebody that grinds the same game every day of the week.

Josh has to play like 155,000 games to reach SNE. This mean's he has to invest like $5,000,000 to make a 6-digit profit. It's a really good deal in the sense that he has a high rate of success given his skill, but when you look at things from this perspective, it's not too difficult to see why a handful of guys will be able to eek out a nice profit when the have to invest a tremendous amount to do so.

good post, most people don't actually crunch the numbers needed to achieve this... pretty awesome actually, and to do it with a positive ROI before points bonuses is even more remarkable
