The shove is bad, the call is oh so worse. Most of the regs call ridic tight in that spot (like legit 99+, AQ+) but will rejam in your face nearly 100% if you minraise. Until they prove they can call light, I jam ~90% in those types of spots and its certainly wayyy +ev given how tight they call

Would guess offhand EQ range is ~49-50%

This would tilt you a whole lot more ,this is vs a very good SNG player on 2+2.............

All I got from him in chat was lol ............GG

those calls arent bad, cose when you play same reg over and over again he will second guess himself before stealing when there is a shortie ;] sngs would be boring as hell without regs -ev spite calling each other

Alright put in another few games, but think I'm gonna call it a night now and get to bed early and be up and at it tomorrow very early. Gonna just play hypers tomorrow with no mtt's mixed as I might have to stop at some point to take a phone call; won't know til about 25 mins in advance which is enough time to quit loading hypers and run em out. Will be done playing by 7pm to watch American Horror Story but hoping I get in about 7-8 hrs of grind tomorrow.

Caught up to my EV line today, obv ran super super hot in card distribution but still wayyyy under EV overall, hoping to catch up to that red line tomorrow!

Unfortunately looking less and less likely that I hit 200k VPP as each day passes, gonna have to average close to 600 hypers a day every day the rest of the year; I really should be able to do it but I've been failing pretty hardcore! If I start putting some solid VPP days together, I can just cut out mtt's and add more hyper tables and thatll boost my games/hr up, but not gonna bother cutting MTT's until I think I have a legit shot of making it.

    Starting VPP: 74,879.24
    VPP on day: 6169.14
    Ending VPP: 81,048.38
    200k Pace: 3717

Gla tomorrow, someone said something about threadsavers (mighta been eldorian), so here ya go, American Horror Story ftw

Had to quit loading as I don't ever get mad while playing and I through 2 water bottles; gonna just chill out and finish this $44 turbo and put food in oven this past sync break...might be done for the night or might play 1 more session later tonight.

stove gives me q8o vs random as a 53.6% favourite, and there is antes, any insight why this is not a call? With all the studying you are doing i am certain you have a point somewhere

also good work on threadsavers, was thinking of checking American Horror Stories out over christmas...

It's not a call. Not going into the math behind it though because I don't want to educate any bad regs that read this thread

QTo is, Q9o is close if you want to make a 0.0% roi call wen we're 13bb's effective deep

yaya just woke up, also did not look at stacksizes properly, was assuming all micros as bubble of a hyper... at13bb its a terrible call and a slightly less terrible shove...

still dont get why ppl can call q10 there, the likelyhood of most regs is to be at 50% not near atc (which i still think is awfull, j4o just hurts my f eyes tbh)
      11-30-2011 , 12:15 PM
why you would advertise that you'll shove 90% in that spot until a dude proves that he can call you wide, in a place like this that can easily be read by many regs, is beyond me. Are you trying to sound smart or cool in front of your peers?

Q8o is a fistpump call there cuz he's gotta keep you in line in that spot! And he didn't even need to see your thread to know you were out of line. Now these "bad regs" that you don't want to educate, will.
      11-30-2011 , 12:49 PM
It's not like it's hard to re-adjust once people start spite calling with Q8o and they were right. You just assume they will widen their calling range even wider, (because of the fact in their heads they're already deviating away from normal and were likely watching the results of that hand, then having an "aha moment" realizing, Yes I knew Q8o was way ahead, I should change my calling range even more!), so you tighten your push range for a bit and these guys pop a boner when they see Q6o and your jamming into them with a much stronger range this time and crushing. You do that a few times, they re-adjust and tighten their range, so u counter re-adjust back to pushing ATC.

      just my 2 cents.

Hey Jdawg some sick swings your having there Bud but keep your head up things will work out in the end. With your work ethic I am positive you will plug any spots where your leaking money. Your a inspiration to me man and i'm sure to others as well. Got a couple questions for you yet again lol if you don't mind helping me out please?

I am trying to take Poker allot more serious and turn $25 deposit with bonuses into moving abroad like you did if Regulation does not pass in the near future. In doing some I am studying allot more and trying to plug my own leaks but there is very little info out there on these merge games which has to be + Ev. Anyways if anyone would like to chat strat on skype Pm me, here is my question. On the Bubble we are often around 5 BB effective stacks so ignoring Wiz in certain spots has to be done imo. How much of a negative edge should we be pushing on the Button? Hope that all makes clear enough since and sorry for the derail kick a$$ Bro!

You hurt my F eyes tbh, wugggg. I've also never seen someone call QTo in there either, like I said earlier, most regs are 99+, AQ+. I'll take the +1.23% shove til otherwise proven

Who knows if I'm shoving 90% tho, I made up a number. Your spite call in that spot should be QTo, not Q8o but go ahead and take that huge negative EV call (nearly -1%), fine by me!

My work ethic sucks, I don't put in enough volume and don't put in enough time studying. I just happen to be able to pump out sick amounts of volume in a short time because I can profitably play more tables than almost everyone out there.

I would take decent negative edges when I was 3-4 bb utg in the merge games and was the shortstack, I'd rather shove before losing my FE.

Okay and heressss why I don't ever post any HH's in these threads. There will not be any other hands posted by me in this thread whether its a strat hand, a spite call, or a spot i have a question about. FFS might even just close this ****in thing, post one lol spite call and get ****in berated about it on skype (not talking about u on this one SG) and in here, unreal.

Got up late today, I'm still sick, thought I was over it since ~friday but monday night I started coughing and hacking again, pretty F tilting.

Gonna just get in whatever volume I can til AHS starts, no real goals today cuz **** goals, they just set you up for disappointment

Mehhh games are too regged up atm, got 2 really good regs and 2 more regs loading together, don't wanna be the 5th reg in the games.

Guess I'll look over some hh's

+ 1 Bro to being sick as a dog but *** it grinders gonna grind hope both of our colds go away soon. Also LOL at people not wanting to talk strat in these every other type of game has tons of **** to read up on to improve but these things lol. Thanks for the response above I need to make some adjustments been shipping to deep to early I suppose. It's sad that Poker here in the US is in such a sad state. No one it seems wants to openly talk strat on these. I guess this is a good thing if your willing to put in the time and do the work yourself.

Also Jdawg don't be so hard on yourself as someone who has failed at chasing SNE trust me 200k vpps this year is a bad idea. The reason being is you got one more Month to adjust your game to the PS structure before you gotta grind your A$$ off day in and day out. IMO use this time to study and relax before the toughest grind you will ever face starts in January. Who knows maybe you have already made all of the correct adjustments, but one thing I can tell you from my experience is get out any of the doubt you got about your game before you start the SNE chase Bro.
      11-30-2011 , 03:07 PM
Sorry JDawg for continuing on this but...

For you guys who are saying its a call or a good spite call...

All you're doing is throwing your $ to the guy who is not in the pot. The call cannot simply be justified. If you want to spite call somone for future reference, then do it with a hand that crushes villains range but still is a fold according to ICM.

      this buddy.

you now have time to figure out best schedule, adjust to the games you're gonna grind in and out every day for one ****ing year.
enjoy your time down there, live a bit of a social life, play as much as you think is profitable and keep studying the **** out of this game.

      not going home for christmas/nye?

Got in session 1of the day, feeling like absolute **** so probably gonna just get in 1 more sesh and then just relax and lay down and watch TV through AHS and then maybeeee play another session but who knows. Back is killing me from coughing so much and every time I cough it just sends a pain through my back; probably gonna go get a massage one of these coming days and hopefully that will help a bit; if I'm not better by Monday gonna go into town and get medicine.

Here's graph from the first sesh, ran super well again in card distribution and finally over EV which felt nice

Yea that's what I've been doing too, been experimenting as you've all seen with different schedules, different secondary schedules, etc.

And nah, not going home for Christmas, most of my family has already passed away and on my Dad's side he doesnt speak to his Mom or sister and brother, so we don't do anything special for Christmas.
