Keep your head in the right place, which it seems to be, and things will turn around

will do.
So i ended up taking friday off and came back today only to breakeven. this was good though because it made me not want to play but made me want to work on my game.
I havent been doing much work on my game bar the database reviews, i had a long crev session/strat talk with a very good 200 reg and have realised how solid his thought process/strategy is compared to mine. theres such a huge gap between skill levels even though its only one level above me, theres a ton of spots that im realising im losing a ton of money in.
So this made me realise that this volume goal is not the best long-term goal as it hinders my growth as a player and i end up auto-piloting and doing the bare minimum on my game, so im basically cancelling the months goals and making new ones, this may look like im pulling out because of negative variance but really if it wasnt for this "ds" i wouldnt of been able to pick up on a huge amount of stuff im doing wrong.
Im pretty happy to get 70-75k hands a month while living/breathing/eating inside crev, instead of 100k+ and falling behind regs who are working harder then me. Im also very lucky to know some very talented players (some of the best players on stars imo) and it seems a waste to not use this to my advantage and maybe even help them out in some spots.
I also will be trying to meditate (not sure how well this will go ) and maybe look into some brain stimulating drugs etc. theres so much to poker that i dont know and not just strategy, i do want to try and be the best player i can be, but if i never make it past 200nl then thats fine, since i know i gave it my best.
So this will be my final update, im pretty poor at completing challenges but tbh this month has been a great eye opener, just to clear, i still think i play better then the average 100 reg. but theres no chance i am +ev in a good 200 lineup, alot of work to be done.
feel free to ask any questions, am always happy to reply.
that tune played all day today, but i just found out u like it too so gj. And i guess you never learn when you dont lose, so i think its good that u lost and now got more insight to your leaks and got more motivation to improve as a player not put in more volume instead.

This is BS. Don't "want" to try, do it! And if YOU never make it past NL200 then YOU certainly did not give your BEST (who the hell ever gave their BEST anyway!?).
Oh, this goal did not "fail" by the way. You are going to get one of your highest volume months ever and it helped you to reassess other goals (work hard/improve etc) so I think it worked very well.
so ending the month early, really happy with the month, although it wasnt the best month in terms of volume or monetary, i feel my games improved a ton and is still my best month to date (best month being 60k hands) im pretty certain with time, ill be able to get out the 100k month, but for now ill just ease into it slowly.
also made supernova which is nice and caught up with ev to put me +$803
had some brutal swings this month, probably my worst ever so im pretty happy how i played throughout.
