Winning the World Rapid Chess Championship in 2018, Dubov is a force in speed chess even amongst the world's elite.

He found himself in some lol chess drama recently by assisting Magnus in a match with a fellow Russian. The Russian men were not too happy.

Anecdote: Aronian hosted a chess camp in LA in 2014. I've always had simple tastes but it was like my version of going to Disneyland at the time.

This Russian grandmaster held the record for the youngest grandmaster ever (12 yr 7mo) for a very long time.

He won the World Cup in 2015 and then the Candidates tournament in 2016, earning him a spot in that year’s WCC vs Carlsen. He won game 8, but Carlsen won game 10. Carlsen took it down in tiebreaks.
