K3 hand would just XB, even vs more passive guys not much reason to bet K3 high

AA hand would go bigger pf, bigger flop, he is not folding much preflop, then on flop his continue range is probably same vs 1/2 or 2/3.
as played would go 1/2 turn and jam river.

nice progress, remember when you started the thread tried to follow but too many updates so hard to keep up

ty for the feedback!

these two hands were actually from different sessions so V not spewing like crazy at the time of this HH but still think hammering the bet button and going large everywhere performs best for sure

Hero checks. V checks back.

River($352): 9. Hero $176. V c and lose w 8 7.

would hv been an interesting spot if this particular V jammed.

im a big big fan of quantity over quality if I am also constantly analyzing my play (which I am).

this lifestyle also suits me v well as I don’t currently aspire to be happy, cultivate a plethora of meaningful relationships, exercise religiously etc like many grinders.

every time I try to implement balance into my life i find I start developing more appreciation, gratitude, enjoyment for off the felt experiences—- which is a big no for me in part as it makes grinding & studying all the time seem less appealing.

a bubble is far more conducive to my overall improvement which is what’s most important to me.

gl to you as well!

200nl line check

Main V (SB) is unknown. No relevant notes, timing tells etc.

OTTH

Pre-flop: V RFI $6. Hero 3b $20 BB with A K. V calls.

Flop ($43): A 2 2. V donk $25. Hero calls.

Think flop is a clear raise to a healthy size in hindsight as it’s likely random V has Ax or a FD w this 60% donk in this configuration imo

Turn is really questionable; river is pretty clear punt imo. Just really poor combo (especially w the Jc)to choose from; blocking ton of folds. And I think just way too strong to turn into a bluff bvb as it is.

ty for dropping in

ty for the feedback

yeah- probably a punt don’t mind an over reliance on my (currently poor) intuition in game though

logic was that V clicking fold w mostly all his draws that don’t contain a pear like the Q10, QJ, Jxcc type of stuff OOP and v my sizing & image OTT

was thinking all Kx and a healthy bit of Ax clicking fold otr at the time as well

wheels up in less than ten days!

have three reservations so far, plan to add/modify etc

ideally we’re not on another 10k+ ds then from a psychological POV ofc however going to keep blastin, playing super deep, short handed, big etc anyways in the right spots till then.

from minimal experience I think thinking about the noise too much (this stuff) causes more harm than good.

but lots can happen and would certainly be a burden to step away from the online grind buried v healthy on the month and going into the next one in a completely different grind

It helps to remind myself that I was buying into live games for $300 less than a year ago though so just grateful for the progress that’s made in this past year. Nice benchmark

Hopefully 3-5 years into the career, a few WSOPs later etc we’re crushing high stakes

*will v likely change

*Part 1: 9/30-10/8

*Part 2: 11/7-11/12

other notes:
staying w a special person/people

want to create a TR for Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, Resorts World, Venetian

this is not a brag in the slightest but I’m very grateful for the amount of money I have won in my first year~ playing cards seriously and try not too lose sight of that and the fact that I’ll probably be able to do this forever and thrive if I wanted to and health permits etc

with that being said, we are down-swinging real bad and I def think the sky is falling

it’s going to be so awesome to be crushing the biggest public live games in USA#1 a few years from now though so that keeps me pushing through all these 3-5k pots that keep getting shipped the other way

i m going to take a nap after getting some delivery

need some sugar

I'd bet half and maybe even jam. This is a vulnerable boat and still many disaster rivers lurking like a T, 8, and 9-A. I'd feel more comfortable "trapping" with the T in our hand. If he already has a bigger boat well it is what it is.

I like $225 OTT. Doesn't scare him away and prices him in ever so nicely.

ty for sharing your thoughts, gentlemen. results are not entertaining (as they often shouldn’t be )

I agree~, although it’s important to note that as usual I do think it’s important to have some flop 3b—> block turn bluffs though. otherwise this line isn’t good imo

Recs will click fold vs this sizing occasionally too w overpairs, 86, 99, 77, 87, 67 etc (inelasticity to sizing works both ways and many recs will make bad folds here not assigning enough importance to the price they’re being given) but if we only 3b flop w sets+ or use a different sizing etc w all our hand classes bc V is a splashy whale we have no bluffs to choose from in the first place.

Hero $140, v folds
