Only asking since I have recently started playing 5 card and the swings suck!

My roll is still in really good shape, believe it or not. Your post actually forced me to look at my results (...!). I'd been putting that off because I knew I wouldn't like what I saw. So....
Turns out I had moderate poker losses in August and September ($2.5k or so) and a decent winning month in October ($4.6k - bigger than I thought), and of course that big win in July ($9k). This month has started off poorly too (-$1k).
It's all a wash because I also had to pay my taxes which was something ridiculous relative to my income, but made a good amount from law work. (Thank you, day jobs.) And my meds cost $1,000 a month, which I split with the rents, so that eats away too. Factor in about $500/month other expenses, you do the math. I tend to be quite frugal which helps.
All this is to say, I am doing fine, if not better, than I was before my "downswing" started (if you can call it that, it's turning out to be more like a BE stretch tbh). I'm definitely not going busto anytime soon, if ever. I really don't think it's possible for me to go busto given how I play and my good bankroll management.
Thanks for the question!
Lost $20 yesterday, lost $700 the day before (mostly because ds AA didn't hold).
