No promises! I’m very motivated to wrap this up in record time now. Less than a month would be sweet.

Yes to PLO5 if you can find it. It’s less explored and still relatively new so the fields are softer.

The guide is around 11 pages long. It covers preflop starting hand selection, how to play certain hands like aces and kings, how to play different categories of made hands (sets trips etc.) draws, handy general postflop principles, and good bluff candidates.

Thanks! I’m even beating my own prediction somehow. It’s been a hot run for a while now. Counting my blessings.

Just made a great play I’m a little happy about, there’s an open and a call and btn 3!, we cold call sb A6655ds, four ways to J34 both our bdfd, checks to short stack who jams $215 into $280, btn calls, we jam $1200 and get other deep stacks to fold, we scoop against a pair of 3s and a wrap on 8J runout…!

Up around $3,000 now, won AKKQJ with top pair nfd and lost AQQJ9 on 993r to a $1700 jam for dry side pot, I put him on 93 here. Lost wheel with QQ345 on a bad runout too. Trying to make the challenge tonight, not much time left though and I’ve started running bad.

Edit: won top set to mid set plus gutter. Swinging back up! Also won QQ99ds on JJ89.

“… lost AQQJ9 on 993r to a $1700 jam for dry side pot.”

You called off $1700 jam putting him on 93? Or do you mean to say you folded to his jam into a dry side pot?

Did he have 93?

It went short stack jam, I iso small, and deep stack re-jams, yes I folded. This dude has 93. He didn’t show because the short stack had KK and the runout was K3. He claimed he had a flush draw, lol, then said he knew I would fold if he jammed.

Ended up winning $2,815 when all was said and done yesterday, so didn't quite wrap up the $50k BR goal but I am nearly there in under a month, way ahead of schedule!

$1637 to go! Yippie!

Last hand was QJT86 on the button on T84r, short stack turned a low straight on me and a deep stack raised for a side pot and I had to fold. I felt tired at this point and it was time to quit 13 hours in, sorta over did it to be honest but I was trying to finish the challenge and make Saturdays more profitable (heading there slowly).

Made a big mistake which didn’t feel that way …limped bad aces in the blinds and the straddler pro saw a free flop, I whiffed but he flopped top pair and an open ended sttaight flush draw and made his straight flush against the fish who made top boat and stacked him. Fish then changed tables and our game got terrible. If I potted my marginal hand pre he would probably fold and would not have stacked the fish…! Every small decision can have major consequences. Sometimes a marginal ev spot preflop is the best play to keep the other good players from beating the table spots. After all, it’s a fight for the same easy money at the end of the day.

Solid 9.5 hours of sleep, lattes, good tunes, a poker vlog, good start to this Sunday. Enhancing my exercise routine too lately to add back stuff, trying to get into better shape. Gonna be a good day.

Impressive to nearly complete the challenge in less than a month! I missed my opportunity to put in my guess. How many hours did you put in to complete the challenge?

Starting out at 1/3 while waiting for a plo seat, very bored and stuck. Probably not worth the impact on my mental game to grind this small while waiting. Slightly better than just sitting around though. Over active stuck three-bettor did his thing and I just put him in with a suited wheel ace and he woke up with queens…lol. The list is long tonight and moving slowly. Sigh.

Got a seat and promptly got stack with nfd top pair and nut gutter to wheel, then squeezed J99TT and got it in three ways with against three aces and a bad A-high hand, then lost top set nut gutter to wrap and fd in 3! pot. Stuck quickly today. Night is young.

Lost a limp raised AA to wrap nfd and a tiny spr postflop, also lost dsKKQ on JT2 to TT. Still trucking but it’s a rough night so far. I blame it on playing 1/3. lol. Squeezed AJ985ds and someone spazz backraised with AQ533 and made a straight…lol. What a night! Squeezed a couple hands I could have flatted but there was too much dead money to resist.

I blame playing 1/3….

This makes sense vs how you wrote it originally.

Won dsKKT98 with open ender and fd in 3! pot but then lost double fd and open-ended straight flush draw to bottom set that didn’t fold to my check raise on the turn on Q739ddcc. Worse yet, I got middle set 77 to fold but the guy who folded 77 announced what he had to the entire table with river action pending…! So on the Q river 33 donk jammed his last $350 into $2,000. Also lost AA754 to AKJ54 on JQ32, money in on turn river K. Stuck piles right now and unless things change drastically in the next hour this challenge isn’t going to be wrapping up as smoothly as I expected.

Made a small comeback at the end with dsAA multi-way holding in 3! pot, but ended down $3375.

Games weren’t great and I was a little more aggro than I needed to be with my draw and a couple hands preflop. But if I won them I wouldn’t be complaining.

Br challenge: $5012 to go.

Hot start to the session, my pre-session routine was on point so I’m not surprised. Lattes x3.5, cod and rice and salad, a shave to clean up the edges of the beard. A positive mindset helps too. Every time I’m all in I remind myself “you’re rolled for this pot, it’ll be ok win or lose.”

Clean living = rungood! AA flopped nut flush and got paid, then KJT86ds got in multi-way against three short stacks - two AAs and a KK - and made the nut straight and held on three spades with no one having a flush.

My exercise routine is on point lately too, probably credit for my rungood…lattes, push ups dumb bells (8lbs…lol), planks, squats, crunches. Rawr! Very happy with my progress in life lately, big improvements.

Mid-session update…won QQT55 on AQ8r against AKJT and 88, lost 45567ds in 4! pot figuring I was up against high cards, I probably was but the gamble didn’t pay off this time. Up around $1,500 now. Let’s go!

Came back from my break and lost a big pot AK743ds on K764ddss double fd three pair to naked straight and lost. Raised flop and we shipped turn for $1,200 and I bricked as a 60/40 s favorite against his nuts.

Edit: changed tables and won JT876 on T946 my redraw got there.

Up $2,728 last night when all was said and done, was a good vibe at the table too, lots of friendly banter. Someone said they liked my personality and humor too! There was a table of all black rec players and eventually, one guy there kept calling it the "black table" our game broke and a couple of us white pros joined, I said we got affirmative action.

Made a good call against a serial bluffer with an 8-high flush on Q94ddd in a 4! pot, that was nice. Challenge: $2284 to go.

Good start, thanks to the solid pre-session routine of sunlight sleep lattes exercise, the usual relaxation methods. AKK won three way all in to start. Up $600 already and I just got here! Market is rebounding well from the Middle East jitters too.

Won wrap turning nut straight and holding against two people with draws on the turn, up $1,500… a few hundo away from completing the challenge. I have a feeling it may be tonight…! Chinese for dinner and midnight snack now, then might take a little break. 10/10 is running but I’m not sure I will play.
