Subbed and pullin for ya, GL bro

Also, one thing that can help you prepare for a session is to have some form of warm-up routine. It should be whatever works for you (something that usually lasts between 10-30minutes). As a part of my warm-up, I practice controlled breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. While doing this, I focusing on my breathing. I find that doing a solid minute of this before I play really helps me remain calm and focused throughout my time at the tables. Anytime during the session when I feel tilt coming on, or that my focus is beginning to wan, I just repeat the process.

ty sir. I appreciate the advice.

A snow storm altered the plans for tonight. Got another 35min session in.

Minus the tripple barrel bluff attempt vs a 73/10 not a bad session.

I put 20BB into 4 pots. Losing 86 & 23BB pots and winning 29 & 25BB ones.

This session produced a couple of hands worthy of discussion. I'm going to watch season 5 Dexter finale and think about them.

Have played 7 sessions since last update.

Not much to update... Top 10 hands won/lost:

I'm fully aware that I get stacks in too light and inflate pots w/marginal hands. Being able to transfer that into changing what I actually do seems to be the issue.

After my 2 sessions today I think I really just need to slow down a couple mph. Actually start thinking about hands as they are happening(obv).

When I look back at some of the things I've done it's like I'm looking at a chimp just clicking the mouse.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is this -- If other people are doing this:

Also, I think I'm finally out of my 'over-value-every-hand' stage. I don't get as sidappointed in myself as I was a week or so ago. Which is nice.

Unfortunately I think I've taken a couple steps back.

Top 5 hands for the day in terms of BBs and at BEST I got $ in w/49.1%. Awesome.

I feel like a portion of what's going on is simple variance but prolly only 10-20%. The other 80 is most seemingly spread across bad play and lack of skill/grasping concepts.

Got my new PC on started this DB on 1/9. Here are all the hands so far:

I've got the $ in drawing dead 6 times in that sample.

This is a pretty disgusting image - All in on flop or before. Too much red not a lot of equity. Hopefully posting this helps me make some changes.

Current BR is @$220.41. I'm playing 4NL until it's back @300. I'm not worrying about anything else. Ready GO!!!

Meh.. In my head I feel like this is a good bluff but I may be wrong.

"Hey 1 guy other than me reading this thread! What do you think?"

Just about the only positive thing I've come up with when thinking about how much my life sucks pokerwise right now is this:

It's not possible for me to really lose any more. 4NL is the bottom. If there was 2NL I'd be playing that.

Stick to abc poker and stop trying to outplay your opponents in spots.

How could u possibly float that 67 hand with no pair no draw and think its good when ur putting ~38% of ur stack in with the small hope of having the villain C/F getting insane odds. 4nl people don't fold, especially with cards to come. Woulda been even worse if he had called you with a naked fd like K2 with a heart and won with a highcard.

A lot of ur HHs in ur db screenshot has u stacking off in so many stupid spots. No need to stack off pf with like 99 or AK, or on the flop with a nut flush draw. You are playing 4nl, play more passively in the early streets and bet big once you hit ur draws. Even if it seems obv to u that u hit ur Flush on the turn they will still pay u off. Same goes for just flatting a 3bet with AK.

Personally i'd be more aggressive with bankroll and take shots in good games.

FWIW, that Q8dd hand is pretty bad. Fish overshoving 140bb on the river is never gonna be a bluff. U just lucked out he was VBing AK.

Soooo yea.... Pretty much forced myself to abandon this thread until I got my **** together so it wouldn't just be about me going busto.

It looks like its been well over a month since I've updated.

Here is my 1/1/12-2/29/12 graph. WARNING - IT'S BAD!!!

Essentially what has happened since my last update is me making a point to play no more than 6 tables and playing short sessions. Why this didn't happen sooner, I'm not sure but whatever.

                      March to date:

Volume has plummeted but I'm getting back into the green and playing solid poker. As you can see I didn't officially pull my head out of my ass until a couple weeks into March.

In other news: I'm still confused when people say 'you're results oriented'. Aren't we here to win $???

Going to keep grinding 4NL for awhile. Hopefully 10NL will come in a couple weeks.
