Holdem odds question? Holdem odds question?

I think this is in the right forum. I was trying to find an answer to a specfic question but would love a link or a reference that would allow me to find the answer myself.

The question: If 6 people limp in a pot, and the board comes all one suit, what are the odds some one flopped a flush?

i don't know for sure, but i thinks i may be able to figure it out.

there are 4 different suits, and an equal number of cards in each suit. so the chances that any given card will be of a specific suit is 1 in 4. lets use 3 spades on the flop in this example. so changes are 1/4 for the first card and 1/4 for the second card in your pocket. that 1 in 16 odds that you will get pocket spades.

if there are 6 people playing, chances are 6/16, i believe. that's 18.75% chance.

can anyone else confirm on reject that?

Think you can't say after saying monocolor flop that the chances is 1/4 and 1/4 to your cards because there is no 12/52 (or 1/4) for one determined suit, you are seeing three of them.

The chance of 1st card being spade is 9/49 and we need same suit to our second card so is 8/48. 9/49*8/48 = 3,06%. 6 *3,06% = 18,18%.

We can think different: to start with suited hand the first card can be anyone the second card has chance of 12/51 = 23,53%.

In a suited flop, chance to match the suit of hand and of the board is 1/4 so odds to flop flush is 23,53/4 = 5,88%. 6* 5,88% = 35,29%.

Something is wrong, it's don't match... hahaha, thanks for reading my poor english. Bye.
