I have recently signed up to pokerstrategy.com and set up an account through full tilt through them.

I just need to provide my ID which I will do to get teh $50 free dollars. I was dubious at first byt after reading up on this, it looks liek a geniue offer.

Please can you confirm how the 27% rakeback works? Will this be paid directly into my full tilt account?

The ID information is simply requested as part of our security screening to ensure that players are indeed legitimate.
