Can I just buy it? Can I just buy it?

I'm not interested in earning some points and grind it somewhere. I'd like to buy some content (the top level). How much is that? You've got some content in my native language I'd like to see. Is it possible?

Hey babel,

I'm sorry to say that there is no pay-for-content option available at PokerStrategy.com.

This is due to several reasons:

1. We want to stricktly stick to our principle to be free of direct and indirect costs for our members.

2. Setting up payment systems etc. would be a huge effort - and currently, our IT is already over-strained with projects in other areas.

Offering 18 different partner poker rooms, I could imagine that still, there is one where you have no account yet that fits your taste:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...gy-com-778635/

Even if not, you are cordially invited to participate in our community of your native language and make the best use of our free content. You can also filter for Free ("basic") videos in the video section - and Bronze is super-easy to reach and will never be lost.

Best regards,
Lutz

Another small note as I did not read that you want to buy the highest content.

One the one hand, sorry for mentioning the basic content - then it's probably not too interesting for you.

On the other hand, we would probably need to charge too much for our content to be interesting for a lot of players - even if we had the option to do that on a pay level.

This is pretty crazy, just went to your site and can not believe you cant buy articles, is this business model not hugely flawed?

read their businessmodel and then realize how much rake/month you have to pay to get access to the highest content videos

Well, but you get the content, coaching, professional hand evaluations on top of max rakeback / races / bonuses / freerolls / etc without having to pay anything extra.

Except rake - and if the player needs to win as opposed to lose, then access to higher content would be better before they lost.

Just a minor tweak on the whether its flawed model.

I was surprised I can't do it through FTP - I had it all worked out so I could get CardRunners and this all by opening up an FTP account! Oh well.

Do all these sites run limit hold'em tables, and enough of them to generate the rake required to get the content on the site?

Hey RedHot,

Limit Hold'em indeed is a problem on a variety of sites. But the standard career for a player is: Start with the $50 on one site, build your bankroll on micro limits and learn; then later on do educated decisions where to play. Because you can continue to gather StrategyPoints on other poker rooms later on.

We designed the system in such a way that content for the limit you play is unlocked with a decend amount of hands/hours played per month. I.e. if you play NL100, you should easily be a Gold member, which gives you access to all videos, live-coachings and prof. moderated hand evaluation & strategy forums for NL100.

Of course this means that you might not be able to see a lot of NL2k vids as an NL100 player (except you play a lot and get Diamond with NL100) - but we don't think you should watch a lot of NL2k videos to beat NL100. It could even hurt as the game flow is different.

Best,
Lutz

Thanks for the reply. I have SuperNova on Stars, so its not like I am not putting in some volume. I have never played on Full Tilt, and do intend to make an account at some point. There are limit videos planned for your site, so there must be a way to qualify playing limit holdem?

Limit holdem videos are a real rarity right now between all the coaching sites. I can think of maybe 5 coaches over every single coaching site that actually produces good limit holdem videos.
Some coaching sites really have let limit videos slack because it's not sexy enough.

In fact, PokerStrategy.com absolutely specialised in Fixed Limit back in our early years - and until today, it's one of our strong points.

We have great Limit players such as kobeyard85 and Byron Jacobs (author of "How good is your limit Hold'em") as coaches & video producers.

Just these days, they visited Gibraltar so we could do a video interview with them:
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/12664

On our English website, we have more than 150 FL videos on the various limits, you can see them listed through this URL:
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/#...&page=1&rpp=10

Even Stoxtrader himself did some FL videos for PokerStrategy.com - and probably we inspired him to found his own coaching site

@RedHot:
As a FL player on higher limits (say 3/6 and above), you can 'easily' become Gold - Diamond status at PokerStrategy.com. Of course you need to be able to gather StrategyPoints at a room that offers enough FL games - e.g. PartyPoker on low-mid limits or PokerStars & Full Tilt Poker on all. If you already have an account on all of them, that's quite problematic then.

But there's some free videos at our site where you can get an impression, e.g. this video from Kobeyard on $30/60:

Lutz
