Small stakes 1-1 live game 9 handled I've got around 100BBs other players have about the same or more.

I'm in the big blind with KK

Mid position guy raises to 3 gets 3 callers. I raise to 10BB, get 3 callers. So Pot is about 45BBs with 3 opponents. All players like to call.

Flop comes 899

I check to see what happens because I hate the look of the flop out of position with 3 callers, get more 2 checks, button bets just under half pot 20BB so action is on me and pot is 65BB.

My problem is that calling this is more than likely going to get me all in for the rest of my 90BB and there are 3 opponents in the hand when I'm either WA/WB so I bail.

Question is would it have been better to just go all in pre than raise, should Ihave bet the flop and hoped for the best or was I too weak folding?

PF: Way too low. Pot is currently $14. I'd 3! to $20. You need to raise more because you are going to play the hand OOP and you don't want to take KK to flop multiway. You want to be HU or at most 3 way. The OR will be getting 24:7 or 3.4:1; those are great odds.

F (45): SPR is 2. With this SPR you are committed. On a non Ace flop you should never be folding, ever. You're getting your money in. Hand plays itself.

Why are we checking? Doesn't make sense. Why do we hate this flop? I F-ing LOVE this flop with KK and an SPR of 2, and a backdoor King high flush draw!

Notes: No, going in all pre is bad; no reason to. Yes, we should of cbet. Folding here is horra-bad play. You need to SPRs and the commitment threshold.

Edit: Well...there are four people total in the hand, so actually you have de-value SPR ratio and commitment a little bit, but I don't think I'm folding here because I can't assume the button is betting a nine here. The hand is so much easier to play if we pre-flop three-bet more appropriately and lead out on the flop; then we are committed and nothing wrong with that!

15-20pre, shove flop. As played, RR allin. That board is actually pretty good and you don't have enough stack to play tricky. Just GII.

3bet to $20. A good 3bet default is triple the raise, then add the total amount called. You want to get heads up and avoid a multiway pot.

On the flop, you should make a pot-sized bet and prepare to get your money in. I might c/r shove the flop if the stacks were deeper. As played, never fold and check-raise shove.

Raise more pre as said. x/f flop is ridiculously weak-tight, this can be TT->QQ, draws, air, a whole bunch of stuff.

Also try not play with a deck that has two 9 in it, it will lead to problems.

Another vote for a bigger 3! pre. You're OOP, you want to play your KK heads up if possible. Isolate with a 3! to 20, maybe even 22. That board is a lot less scary against one V than it is against 3.

AP, I reraise the BTN bet to commit myself and snap call a shove. Congrats if someone's got a 9 (lesson learned for 3betting too small), but most will be on draws and button often has a 66-77-TT-JJ and thinks he has the best hand after you checked what he thinks is AK at that point.

Why raise to only 10BB PF? That's going to get you into too many multiway pots OOP. It looks like a small raise trying to increase the pot size and keep everybody in, which isn't so great if you fold the flop so often when your equity is still good. I don't think you realized you were making a pot sweetener raise with KK.
