1/3 NLHE 7 handed.

V - Ridiculous player. Gambling and raising and reraising a lot, very aggressive but in spots it doesn't make sense. Spew. VPIPing about 25%. Raises almost every c-bet.

HH: Aggressive TAG opens MP, V calls IP, Flop T-4-4r, aggressive TAG checks, V bets, aggressive TAG x/r with pocket 55, V snap calls AI w/ AQo and binks a Q OTR.

HH2: V opens UTG, LP whale 3-bets from MP, folds back, V 4-bets huge 6x, whale shoves, V snap calls with 33, whale has AA and V turns a set.

HH3: H opens BTN with ATo no spade when folded to, V raises SB, H calls IP knowing this guy is wide. Flop Ks-7s-4s, V checks, H cbets small, V raises over pot, H folds, V shows 85o with 8s.

Currently sitting on 600$ in BB.

H - Covers and has been fairly quiet lately although ran on a heater awhile back so his opens are still getting action. SB.

---

Folds to H in SB who sees K Q and V says no to a chop - H opens to 10, V raises to 25, H calls.

Flop 50 (575 back) - Q 6 3

H checks, V bets 15, H raises to 45, V 3-bets to 100, H calls.

Turn 250 (475 back) - A

Hero?

Given description of V I think you should consider 3bet pre. and maybe even 4bet flop.
Flop is weird though because I'd probably almost never x/r this board.

This doesn't seem that bad of a turn card, unless you have some weird read on V's range being lots of Ax hands?

In fact it might well be good because V will happily bluff it to try to get a Q to fold.

I would check and call down, I guess.

I would play it slower versus this villain. When he refuses to chop, he may have a strong hand, so I would limp/call. Also, would just x/c the flop. Let him keep firing if he is bluffing. Not real happy about this, maniac or not, after refusing to chop and 3-betting, he could have QQ+/AQ. Not crazy about trying to play a huge pot with TPGK.

H checks, V bets 300 leaving some green chips and crumbs behind. Hero?

I don't know about maniacs, but sometimes when people refuse to chop they have like TT+/AK, so I would be wary. Same thing is 08 or PLO: it is a big tell of a good or monster hand.

You said 475 behind, but now he's bet 300 and has less than 100 behind?

Again, given reads that he's been super agro. I wouldn't be looking to fold ... unless you have reads his bluffs are going to be a lot of A5/A4/AT that hit turn.
It's not like you have many better hands here. Probably better to shove if he has less than 100 behind, might be worth just calling if it's closer to 175 but even then it's hard to assume he'll bluff shove 175 into 850 on the river and he can't fold some semi-bluffs on the turn if you shove.

Maybe you can get reads from not chopping ... but a lot of people playing a lot of hands like to play the blinds.

No he has 475 behind and bets 300, by crumbs I meant relative to the pot.

If you are check raising this hand on the flop what in your check calling range? Why not just call flop and evaluate turn. No idea what to do on the turn as I don't think you should be there with this hand

Since this guy is such a maniac I would just jam flop after he 3bets it. Happy to stack off against this maniac and he will call with any Qx and maybe any pair.

As played i guess we just go with it and hope he doesnt have the ace.

if you induced a bluff for his stack its the best card in the deck

id not fold your hand. i think flop xr is good too. im wondering if cib / gii is better (vs the flop 3b) vs described villain but would probably play it the same. turn u might be better off jamming since hes getting like idk 5:1 and decently unlikely to bluff the river but might have odds to call off with whatever, but think its whatever either way. is worth pointing out this is probably close to bottom of range (supposed to 4b this alot and c/c flop w it alot) so vs more reasonable player would be looking to fold as ur range to get here is pretty strong
