RunGood stopped working, so I resorted to Google form:

PLO is silly - I was basically couple hands away from +$2k or more.

Here's where I stand so far though. Looking back, I've been running extremely well since about June '18 which is when I made some preflop adjustments. I had a brutal breakeven stretch through 2017-2018. I also lost my first 600 hours tracked because the poker journal app is no longer supported but those old graphs are probably somewhere in this thread.

All of it is from 1/2 300 max in Atlantic City.

PSA: don't update to iOS13 before you backup RunGood.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m currently on 13.1.2 and it appears to still be working fine. I exported all my sessions just in case and won’t update to 13.1.3 for now. Any idea if an update for the app is planned or do I need to switch to another one?

Developer seems to be not supporting the app anymore

Any recommendations for alternatives? Preferably one that can import my RunGood backup csv?

I use rungood and I’m like 5 iOS updates behind, so I don’t have much of any recommendations. If you find one, I’d be interested to hear

After Poker Journal and RunGood, it is pretty apparent that most of these small developers wouldn't care about their pet project much beyond their initial release.

I recommend using Google Form, which auto exports into Google Sheet and gets pretty much all the same functions through pivot table.

I just use google sheets. It accomplishes the same thing, can be accessed from anywhere, and can be printed or shared fairly easily when tax time comes.

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Whats a reasonable winrate for a south florida live 500NL game? The one near me spreads $200-1k buyin 2/5. Optional $10 straddle.

I played online about 3 years ago for awhile and consistently beat 200NL and slightly beat 400NL.

I would be table selecting and playing optimal hours- weekend nights. Thinking about getting back into it 2 days a week for some side income. The games have always been very soft compared to online but I don't play very often and have had some really bad variance the last few sessions, so my goal is to put in 15 hours/week for a few months and see how it goes.

Thanks.

Depends if it’s summer or winter — poker in FL very seasonal.

This cant be stressed enough. Anyone who doesn't play here probably thinks the seasonality is exaggerated, but trust me its not. Win rates can can 50%+ higher during snowbird season.

Good to know. I haven't played in the winter months in a few years. Last few sessions this summer seemed very dead with 1 maybe 2 tables of 2/5 running at the Isle. I hope it's better as I'm going to start playing this Friday. Checking out Isle and SHRH.

Given that snowbirds probably are in bed by midnight, would you say optimal hours might not be middle of the night/morning on weekends? I am trying to schedule 7 hours in on Friday and Saturday each week. Was thinking 8 pm - 3 am.

I still use it... course I'm still on iPhone 6.1.3 and won't update because of this.

I dont play in the evenings that often and Ive never played past midnight so I cant really help you there. IMO, the Isle is on the verge of being run out of business. More and more people are leaving and not coming back and there a higher percentage of pros and nits than most other places.

There is a certain harness driver that is back in Florida that certainly livens up the 1/2 or 2/5 table he is at :-) :-)

Am I being an old man? I just updated to 13.1.3 after backing up rungood and the app still seems to boot and function fine.

I can't make a recommendation because it's far out of my depth of expertise, but i can tell you i'm on the latest iOS update and my rungood app works normally and all of my data is still there and accessible like always. Take that as you will.

Just take some precautions. Before you update look up the process for reverting back to an older iOS and make sure you have all your backups set incase you need to do that. YouTube should have tons of videos of the process. And obviously export all your rungood data prior to doing anything.

Worst case, reverting back doesn’t work but you have all your rungood data in a csv file and you can import it to a different program. This only really takes a cursory knowledge of excel to do

Medium case, you revert back to a previous iOS and don’t update. This is where I am, as I am using a 6S Plus running iOS 12.2

Best case, everything works fine after you update and you forget all about this

On a side note, I’ve had iPhones since the original, I’ve found after year 2-3ish of ownership, updating iOS is more problematic that it’s worth. By year 2, I usually wait a few months and see how people with similar phones are doing and then decide if I should update or not. By year 3, usually the answer is ‘don’t update’

iOS 13.2 is when it stops working.

Yes, it's a developer beta, but just a FYI.

Mike I am curious why you don’t play late night sessions. I have a friend here in Vegas that starts her sessions at 12 noon Thursday to Monday and wonder if you do it for similar reasons.
