Hello guys, I started to play poker professionally from April this year and quited my day Job ,I use the app RunGood that I really love it.
The graphics are very cool and you can put filters on your graphs to see different graph or all different type of games you play,
Another cool feature is that you can set goals for yourself and see how close to your goal you can get,
Weekly monthly yearly goals,
I wanted to post some screen shot but I can’t find the option to opload pictures here, can someone tell me how to do it?
From April to now I have played 1731 hours so far and I made 51.6k exactly ,
4256 dollar of it came from high hand promotion and my hourly not including high hands is 27.35 ,
For mix of 2:5 1:2 and 1:3 And little 5:5 since that game available only sometime , but 1355 hour of it is 2:5 game and the Rest mix of these other 3.
I want to compare my results to other professional players and to get a clue when it’s time to move up to 5:10 or higher,
My average on only 2:5 game for 1355h that I played is 6.3 bb around 33 dollar per hour,
If I find a way to upload pictures I m more than happy to post my graphs from RunGood app,
I strongly suggest this application ,
I was playing lots of poker before and I have been a winning player for some years but this app helped me to improve months after month and to be able to compare my hourly from different casinos, and compare different days of the week too,
I can see my win rate for each day of the week, it may sound superstitious but there is a logic behind it,
Player pool changes depending of the days of the week, for me the worst day has been Mondays that after 1755 hours I m breaching even,And best day been Sunday And after that sat that’s very close Sunday ,
It’s so amazing that I see almost any place that I played over 400 hours, my hourly rate comes very close with a difference of 10 percent max,
But for places with little sample like aria in Vegas as example that I only played 80 hours my hourly can show as high as 80 per hour for same game.
I want to take my game to next level and compare my result with other peeple

Is that a $14k downswing from hours 1250 or so to 1400? That’s -$93/hr over about a 5 week stretch? It looks like the month before that you were winning around $125/hr. Did something change between those months in the games or was it just variance?

Also, what is the max buyin in the games you play in and how many bbs do you buy in for?

Armen,

To upload pictures, you have to upload your picture to a website, such as tinypic.org. Then you get the link to where it is stored, hit the IMG button (the one that looks like two mountains with the sun over them) and paste the link.

These are 100 bb cap buy ins. Except 5/10 is 200 bb buy in.

Yes that is a 2800 bb downswing. I ran hot the previous month & then couldn't do anything right. Numerous times getting stacks in with a set vs overpair only to get run down. I played badly at times no doubt, but it was a crazy rough stretch. I kept thinking that the pool was getting tougher but I'm not sure it was much different.

Most people in my life think I'm a degen and I'm at ~250 for the year

Whats neat about soxfan's graph is it starts off down. Very rarely do you see graphs that start down, for a few reasons.

Nice work

Whats not so neat about his graph is that it says "cum" no less than 5 times. Kinda creepy if you ask me.

Winning!

In an hobby where everyone and their grandmother claims to be shipping 10bb+/hr at lol live low steaks, it's refreshing to see a lot more reasonable giraffes (which is most likely what most winners giraffes look like, apart from the upper 1% or sunrunners over a small sample size).

We finally get to see some graphs with weird swings and not just straight printing money. It would be awesome to see a graph for some of the crazy degen losers in our games. I realize that data doesn't exist.

You really do wonder exactly how much money the losers at this game lose over a lifetime. I wonder how startling it is?

^All you have to do is check out Gus Hansen's hspokerdb page.

Seriously though, a guy i play with somewhat regurlarly told me he had to sell his mercedes CLS to fund his poker losses for the year. He plays 1/2 about twice a week . It's kinda disturbing.

I'm guessing every decent size poker room has at least 1 guy like that.

Wow that's sad. I play in a pretty large room & I would say there are at least 5 guys (if not more) that fit this bill. If they actually kept track, they would probably stop coming. Or maybe some of them wouldn't. Nearly 100% of these guys are losing huge at other games too...

Lose $100 Every week in poker?
You're a degen.

Go out drinking 2x a week and spend $100? You're social.

I suppose that really depends on one's income. That being said, there are a lot of degenerates losing a lot more money than that even at the lowest levels.

I've seen plenty of guys that regularly dust off $400-600/night a couple times a week month after month. Sometimes they run it up to a $2k stack and get super pumped that they cash out up. Sometimes they run it right back down to $0 in an orbit.

None of them track it, none of them seem to think about the total cost too much, and most selectively remember the big wins. There are a few that disappear for a while here and there though. But the biggest donators are the ones that don't even feel the losses. It's like the guys that go and play $50/hand blackjack. They don't mind playing $50 or $100/hand poker.

I've actually thought about tracking some of the ones that play in my local home games. Maybe one day.

1500 is crazy for having a FT job. Good on that dood. I was similar in the 12 months before I quit my job. 1134 hours from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 at my home casino. 21.8 hours a week.

2223 hours of 1/3 since April 2015.
9.3bb/hr aka $27.80/hr.

Hoping to one day get back to 10bb/hr, but the winrate is hard to budge these days.
