I assume he means Melbourne Florida, so named because it's first postmaster was an Englishman who had spent much of his life in Melbourne Australia.

So, same/similar rake, reg pool not as wealthy.

Unless there is also a Daytona Beach in Australia that smells like an outdoor porter potty, then there might be further confusion.

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***

Lets say I have $7500 to $9000 saved up, and for the next 6-12 months I get $1800 a month for income, which is enough to cover expenses and save a couple hundred. What If I am willing to put in the work to become a solid winner, what is realistic at 1/3,2/5,5/10 nl capped and uncapped?

Your only rolled for 1/3

my guess at a realstic winrate for 100bb capped 1/3 is 12$-15$ per hr. could be 20 or more if the structure is good, players are bad and you are awesome.

no clue at uncapped.

Uncapped games are monster, you are nowhere near rolled for it.

Yeah I didn't think so, the games are typically good but right now I am definitely not a favorite in the uncapped games I would stick to capped while I build my roll. I think I plan on sticking to 1/3 until I get to $15000, then maybe start playing 2/5.

If you aren't beating 1/3 for $20/hr it's not worth playing. It might take a few months for you to get there.

It's more than enough if he is competent.

He isn't rolled to match the biggest stack. Game is still 1/3 and he can still play it if it's the only game around.

I do agree that I would focus on playing a different game. The game plays much differently for sure.

that is a terrible win rate. no one here should be striving to get to that.

players are going to be bad. you can just assume that.

and guy is on 2plus2, so, obviously, he's awesome.

Since when is 4-5bb/hr a terrible winrate? That's probably the top 5%

And I mean, if your winrate is like 9$/hr you totally should be striving to grt to 12$/hr

Last night I made $54.72/hr at 1/2 and felt bad that I made too little.
