He's definitely not a winner at tables.

He may be or may become a winner at poker.

The single redeeming quality of poker is players can be, can think they are, can become, and/or think they can become winning players. If not for that obviously the guys who make the games worth playing all go shoot dice. Some of you guys with winrates, bankrolls, and finances from this game should remind yourself of that more often and act/speak/post accordingly much more often.

Highroller,

Don't listen to the haters keep playing and maybe buy a car with your winnings!

You're talking to Richard Parker aren't you? If so I agree. He has a huge superiority complex and treats people like dog crap.

Im down bigtime at the tables and slots. Like 80-100k over 10 years mostly over last 8 years since i moved to NYC.. I know I am up at poker lifetime, but not over 5k at most, and i sort of lost interest over last couple years. I thought maybe shooting for a absurdly high goal like a nice car from it would motivate me again, but then i realize its so unrealistic, and without alot of time to spend on it, I'll probably just get bored and play tables and lose more. so i probably should just give up at least until online is back in NY, then i play tournaments again. I kind of chuckle when low stakes poker players criticize my play or similar to above posters mock me. Its a nice feeling i could lose at the game and still roll home to my 500k home without a care in the world

Just play poker higher imo. Not much difference between the games and a much better chance at a big score in a short time frame.

Just because you live in a 500k home doesn't mean you can actually afford it.

Lots of great poker players have leaks in the pits bro. Not to worry.

You should play some live donkaments IMO tho. Main Event is coming up soon.

Poker room is situated somewhere deep inside the casino for a reason.

It's not for everyone.

It's funny, this Vegas trip has made me realise how revolting I think casino floors are. I walk through them as I go in and out of the poker room and just cannot believe how many people are sitting playing the table games

I lost $100 on BJ while blackout drunk after the 1/1 and despite the face I've bricked almost 4K in tournaments this trip, that $100 is the only thing I regret

Depends on where you live. North East might get you half the house with 500 as you would in say most parts of FL. 500k house in most of surrounding Tampa area for example will get you a monster house. Take that same house and put it in North Jersey or NY area and it's a probably 900k-1.2mil. Maybe more

First three screen shots are my entire DB, last 2 are my most recent 90 sessions which is about 1/2 my DB in terms of hours played.

Some random thoughts:

- likely impossible to get big enough sample to accurately estimate live hourly win rate. Buddy in the first half of that giraffe isn't the same guy as the second half.
- Crush Live poker is worth the money.
- I got serious about studying and improving my game the end of last summer.
- studying isn't enough. Real live hours spent learning to understand all kinds of different personalities is important.
- You've got to pay attention to everything people do and say.
- simple bet fold, thinner value than most will crush the small games
- my 1/2 win rate over next 500 hours is likely to be better than $20/hour and better than $30 at 1/3.
- I believe 1/2 win rate likely tops out no better than $25/hour and 1/3 $37ish.
- could be misplaced ego, but I truly believe that more than 98% of the players I see at 1/2 and 1/3 have zero chance against me over even small periods of time. Often I feel like it isn't really fair for me to be in the same game most of the time.
- it is important for bad players to have winning sessions sometimes. Don't begrudge them the money they win from you in any given session.
- It is important for those that aspire to play for profit to be friendly and always try to make poker fun for many different reasons
- Results of any one hand or session don't matter. All that matters is if I've made the right decisions. Even though at an intellectual level this makes sense, it took me a long time to be at peace with this at an emotional level. Once I did, game became easier for me. Though I occasionally still forget.
- I'm very good playing against bad players
- It is likely my hourly at 2/5 would be better than the smaller games, but the smaller games are zero stress and fun for me.

Maybe this post should be the start of a personal goals\challenges thread for me?
