First three screen shots are my entire DB, last 2 are my most recent 90 sessions which is about 1/2 my DB in terms of hours played.
Some random thoughts:
- likely impossible to get big enough sample to accurately estimate live hourly win rate. Buddy in the first half of that giraffe isn't the same guy as the second half.
- Crush Live poker is worth the money.
- I got serious about studying and improving my game the end of last summer.
- studying isn't enough. Real live hours spent learning to understand all kinds of different personalities is important.
- You've got to pay attention to everything people do and say.
- simple bet fold, thinner value than most will crush the small games
- my 1/2 win rate over next 500 hours is likely to be better than $20/hour and better than $30 at 1/3.
- I believe 1/2 win rate likely tops out no better than $25/hour and 1/3 $37ish.
- could be misplaced ego, but I truly believe that more than 98% of the players I see at 1/2 and 1/3 have zero chance against me over even small periods of time. Often I feel like it isn't really fair for me to be in the same game most of the time.
- it is important for bad players to have winning sessions sometimes. Don't begrudge them the money they win from you in any given session.
- It is important for those that aspire to play for profit to be friendly and always try to make poker fun for many different reasons
- Results of any one hand or session don't matter. All that matters is if I've made the right decisions. Even though at an intellectual level this makes sense, it took me a long time to be at peace with this at an emotional level. Once I did, game became easier for me. Though I occasionally still forget.
- I'm very good playing against bad players
- It is likely my hourly at 2/5 would be better than the smaller games, but the smaller games are zero stress and fun for me.
Maybe this post should be the start of a personal goals\challenges thread for me?
