re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Normal preflop sizing and stack sizes are what really determines how big a game is. Blinds can be somewhat meaningless. Problem with the described game is that I would expect a lot of short stacks normally.

The better I get, the more I hate short stacks. You just get handcuffed so often.

Didn't put in a ton of volume in February due to ski vacations, but the heater continues.

February
Profit: $9,320
Hours: 53.5
Hourly: $174.2
Sessions Won: 6/9 (67%)

Biggest Win: $5,800
Biggest Loss: ($2,400)

March got off to a bad start last night with that damn variance thing striking with a vengeance at 10/10. TPTK lost to a naked flush draw AI on the flop for $2200, followed by my flopped set of Jacks losing to a turned set of Kings for a $4500 pot. Called it a night at -3k in 1.5 hours

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

my February was short (in terms of hours) but a BIG winner.....in fact only leap day screwed me out of a perfect month...due to e VERY busy schedule and a 12 day vacation...my sessions were very short (2-3 hours usually) and my second biggest win I had to leave (it killed me to racjk up)...but was at the best table I have ever sat at...Deep...everyone was very passive..but at the same time willing to call big bets with the worst of it...I know that seems contradictory..but it was the table dynamic...was odd but phenominal

all 2/5

profit: 5235.00
hours : 24.25 (lol)
Hourly: 215.87
sessions won 8/9 (89%)

biggest win: $2,035
Biggest (only) loss: $450

tomorrow will be my first March sesh...lets hope run good (aka rungod) continues

hope to get ~40 hours this month

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Feb kinda rough for me

Profit $380
Won 8/18 sessions
Around 29 hrs for $13.02/hr

In the last 4 days I've lost $1900 running about as bad as I ever have in the past 300 hrs. I include a session from last night in the $1900 lost where I lost just over $800, however that is not included in the Feb totals.

Still banking on making around 9k in the next 5.5 months, paying every bill w poker while saving every paycheck, bringing me to around 15k BR and allowing me to leave work for full time play. Cheers to a better March!

I can realistically see a $60+/hr win rate in this game for a really good player.
Your explanation on the NO game is spot on..

New Orleans was the sickest game I ever sat at... emptied my bank account hammered drunk on the BJ table took my last 200$ to the 1/3 walked out with 1200 after the game got too crazy and i drank myself sober and realized that i had two more days of the trip left with only the money on the table.

I would love to play there level headed again.. if you get a mostly tourist table you can print money, all drunk gamblers.

2016 ytd

58.1 hrs for -$1796

1 MTT satellite -$550
10c/25c 5 hours +$28ph
2/3 12 hours -$44.5 ph
2/4 12 hours -$25.8ph
5/5 22 hours -$8.9ph
5/10 11 hours -$55.40ph

the good news is that with the monster win at the home game, I'm running at +7bb/hr for the year

also lost $1.1k returning from casino when wallet was lost, so the roll is down $3k this year

Didn't put in a ton of volume in February due to being busy living the dream, but the heater continues.

February
Profit: $1200
Hours: .25
Hourly: $4,800
Sessions Won: (100%)
(sessions all 1k max roulette)

Biggest Win: $1,200
Biggest Loss: n/a

March got off to a bad start last night with that damn variance thing striking with a vengeance at 2k max roulette. Got my money in good on Red after the wheel came 5 black in a row on $1000, followed by my 20 losing to a 12 in blackjack for $4500. Called it a night at -3k in 5 spins
