I'm hopefully going to Vegas in Dec to play the WPT. When I get there, I'm going to track you down and rub your belly for good luck.

Will that make me gay???

I don't wanna be gay

Would blowing on your belly like you were a 3 year old be considered gay?

Which is luckier, rubbing a belly or blowing on a belly???

Just to be safe, I'm gonna do both.

See you in December

Just a fish on a heater...you know it's good when you get AA and KK in against TT and JJ 4-bet/5-bet pots for 250bb each in the same week (and hold), and yes dgi, that would be pretty gay.

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Now that I have 6 months under my belt with this software, figured was time for an update from here https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=4982

Play mostly M-F between 9:00am - 6:00 pm (rarely play weekend or when family is home). MDLive recently opened in my area, and home casino had seen a roughly 75%+ drop in traffic. This looks like it is starting to rebound. The players that do remain, however, make the games very juicy. Had to incorporate more 1/2 because 2/5 often doesn't run until the afternoon.

Limit breakdown:

Day of week breakdown:

I am probably more aggressive than I have to be, but I play to have fun and earn money, not neccesarily to extract every last dollar. Hand reading is a big part of my game, and my style is pretty high variance.

I could definitely make adjustments to lower my SD, but I'm not really sure I want to. Overall results have been positive, and I adjust well to table/player variables and conditions. I have a style that I think is fairly unique and plays well to my skill set, but I do understand that "unique style" usually means "fish."

Still a small sample size, but have been a winning player for more than a decade, so I don't think it's just "fish on a heater." This is just the first time I tracked live play so closely. (Used to just be cash in/cash out).

I doubt my 1/2 winrate is sustainable, but these games are really LOL soft.

Anyone having any issues with Poker Journal crapping out on iOS 7? It looks like it's a common issue now based on the iTunes store reviews. Anyone find a workaround yet? I can't get my data trapped in there.

It seems to crash when you click the tournament tab.

I can't seem to open it at all anymore without it crashing. It gets to the splash screen and then craps out.

Very good winrate at both levels. That means you adjust to table dynamics well.

Good luck, by the look of your graph doesn't seem like you need luck.

I assume you are playing at CT based on your description of the local casino losing players to MDLive?

Yup. Today had the single best 2/5 game I ever played in. If my hands all held up coulda been +3k in 2 hours. Finished +800 and it almost felt like a loss. Lots of pissed off government contractors letting off some steam. People calling 3-way all ins with Q2os and winning when they spike a 2. Awesome stuff.

Was a fun table, too.

Room ain't quite dead yet...

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Streak ended at 25 wins and $9,191 profit. Took a pretty sick beat yesterday to start the downward spiral....flopped a flush in a 3bet pot and someone called my turn shove on a 8928 board with 77 (lol) and binked a 7 on the river for a $700+ pot. Then got my AA cracked TT on a T-high flop for another $300. Was down about $750 at one point yesterday and made it back to a $160 loss....so close to keeping it going, couldn't keep my eyes open by the time 5:30 am rolled around. Time to start another one.

I would have about a 20 session streak if it weren't for a couple of small wins.

**** September.

Honestly it really is all table and player depenent. I rarely bluff at 1/2, and overall probably bluff a lot less than people think. (Although what I consider a bluff may vary from what you consider a bluff.) A good amount of my equity comes from getting caught bluffing TBH. I cultivate a spewy aggro image and because of that get called a lot. So in that sense bluffing is a big % of my profit.

I also hate calling off my chips when I don't know where I am at in a hand. My standard play in those situations is usually just raise/jam and let my opponent figure it out. Gives me two ways to win, and makes some opponents a bit fearful when playing at me. Actually having the best hand in a 10-handed game is hard. (That obviously goes both ways.)

I get away with a lot of the **** that I do because much of the cardroom lives in a 2006 time warp, and I was a pretty awesome player in 2006 (but maybe notsomuch nowadays).

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

question about live results tracking.

Standard procedure is (right?): log in start time and buy in, log in if you add money, log time & cashing when you get out.

Dosen't this hide the variance within session?

Do people just accept this or is there a way to get a finer grain with apps today? (ie. create check spots within session?)

It's never going to be practical to track stats in a live game as extensively as hand by hand with a program such at hm or pt for online poker.

I'm sure an app could feature something that promts you to count down your stack and input it. Like I said before it comes down to hassle and practicality. It probably won't yield much more significant info than updating at the end of each session.

Frequent inputs might have a harmful effect tilt wise to be counting how much your stuck during a losing session. Though most people do that mentally anyhow but it is not a positive thing to be doing or overly concerned with.

But but but but I've already shown a table of 35bb/hour over 426 hours. >.>

And it's actually more because it includes some 1/1 pounds and 1/2 USD.
