I just don't like posting in Medium-High Stakes Full Ring.

Besides, I am a LLSNL reg poster, and I rarely brag about my win-rate. At least not nearly as much as all the other LLSNL regs do.

I thought you were always a full timer ATsai...you took a break recently?

Do you do time on / time off as a pro, or was it something unrelated?

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Taking today off, had a pretty up-and-down month. First half of the month was great, second half sucked hard. Apparently I just run horribly every time I play at the Wynn because I'm about 0/10 on lifetime sessions there. Lost about $800 playing 1/3 there yesterday, almost all of it on a hand against a maniac where I pick up AA in SB on his UTG straddle, 3 people limp, I raise to $36, he re-raise to $110, I 4b to $350 with $650 effective stacks, he calls, flop J43r, I shove he calls, turn 9 river 7, he has 56s. Then decided to take a shot at the 5/10 game and bought in for $1k, lasted about 30 minutes running the nut flush into a rivered full house, culminating in my single worst day ever with a total loss of $1,855. Also lost a monster pot at 2/5 last week with second nut flush against the nut flush and third nut flush, and about a $900 pot at 1/2 where I runner-runnered top boat against a runner-runnered straight flush. Which way is BBV again?

For last 16 months, I only played part-time hours.

This is prolly real dumb question, but the "tokes +1" thing is for when u tip the dealer correct? It keeps track of that? Or is it for something else.

Edit: I'm talking about in the poker journal app.

Got a new Iphone 4s and going to start tracking sessions again I think.

What FREE program works best? Right now I downloaded Poker Journal Lite.

Why not just spend $10 on the full version?

If you have your doubts about dropping $11 on Poker Journal, then just use the lite version for 7 sessions and then it won't let you add any more. At that point you'll spend the $$ and then have to manually import all your data. But I'm just saying you're gonna end up getting it. Btw, WFT it's $11

That's the thing, you get what you paid for.

Way to derail this thread.

It is the best tracking app for iPhone, and if you can't figure out the difference between free and paid version nor can you justify paying for it, maybe there isn't any point tracking stats.

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

Took a shot at a juicy 2/5 the other day, and dropped 1800 at it. 950 on a 3 to 1 favorite going into the river with QQ against 56 on a 783 5 board. Then ran into chick who didn't 3b KK in the bb with my 88 on 5 high board for 600. She was playing super lag earlier but didn't 3b this time and stacked me.

Bankroll was around 10K+, and now I have to move back down to 1-2 and build it back up. Once I'm back at 10K, I will continue to take shots at juicy ones like the other day.

How do you get 120bb in on a 5 high board? Was she super aggro??

If you're shot taking you shouldn't be blowing 15% of your roll in one shot, IMO. If your roll is 10-12k you shouldn't be shot taking with 1800 of it

Also, Chip, can you log it in Excel on your work computer for free?

I disagree. Having 3 bullets to shot take at a bigger game is ideal IMO. And leaving yourself 8k to grind 1/2nl is super comfortable (twice what you need). If anything I would think that Pay would be taking heat for his bankroll nittiness at shot taking.

I'm fine with taking the shot but why all in one night?

Don't want to derail by discussing hands here, but when an aggro person is switching gear in the middle of a hand, alarm should go off.

That's not a bad point Rumor, but for me I'd rather buy in multiple times at the same table since it allows us to get better reads on Villain tendencies and understand game flow. But since $1800 is a pretty substantial chunk of his BR, I think ideally I would've preferred to take 2 separate 2 BI shots at 2/5. Unless there was some serious droolers or whales in the game, in which case I suppose you have to keep playing your whole shot.

re: Winrates, bankrolls, and finances

My monthly nut is substantially low. Only reason I would even consider playing 2/5 with only 10k bankroll. Only the juicy games is when I join in. There was one fueler whose opening range is any two gappers - AA raising, 3 fish, 2 lag, 3 grinders and myself and average stack was 220bb deep probably.

And yes, she was earlier. I was out of the game for about two hours before I came back, but during that time I was there, she was lagtard at the beginning. No excuses though, I should of seen something strange coming. I believe I spewed it, and not going to justify myself to a simple fold/shove point even though I was only 120bb's deep with $125 invested into a $320 pot.

And yes, when I do take shots at these juicy 2/5's, I but in deep to cover the whale that's fueling. First time all year that I lost a bi at 2/5, but I knew the variance would hit someday.
