Wtf kind of girlfriend literally takes your money, unless you've been together more than a couple years and are a verified gambling addict?

Your money is YOUR effing money. Wtf.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing (yet), but why do you believe this?

2/5 NL regs are getting better at poker, and there are more 5/10 NL pros who have downgraded to 5/5 NL and 2/5 NL recently.

If the current trend continues, the MAX win-rate for 2/5 NL will end up being $40/hour (end of 2014) for the vast majority of 2/5 NL "pros."

If I could win $30/hr regularly, it would be a dream. That's over 50k/yr. I am a frugal person with little need for extravagant purchases, and I don't let big wins con me into buying stuff.

I currently save every penny I can.

I disagree with all of this. I still see huge fundamental leaks at 5/10 from regs and 2/5 still sees pretty bad play overall IMO.

I guess I could see your point if you don't game select very well, play in reg infested games, etc. but I think with proper planning, etc. the games are still super soft up to and including most 5/10 games.

May be different in LA/LV but with so many states opening new table games there are so many soft games out there.

In addition to this, people thought the online games were getting too tough to remain beatable every year since 2008, but fortunately, poker is a zero sum game and will always remain that way. As long as you continue to improve and stay ahead of the learning curve, you will continue to win money. Sure the golden days of people stacking off 300bbs deep with TPGK may be over, but there is still plenty of money to be made.

I play 2-5 - 5-10, and my winrate is around 12BBs/hour in both games, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I will stay one step ahead of the regs and abuse them as well as the fish. Poker isn't dying anytime soon.

Poker is only a zero sum game without rake. As it stands, it is theoretically possible for you to do everything you mentioned and not beat the game.

Lots of circa 2011 massive multitabling rakeback grinders were guys who had pretty sick winrates on Party Poker.

Those were the same guys who let their games stagnate while adding more tables.

Or the same guys who added more tables to compensate for the games getting worse. Many of them had already reached their potential.

Winning streak officially over. Three losing sessions in a row: -29, -50, -149. Total of 13 hours among them. It's still been a fantastic month so far, and I have two more days.

1747 over 65.5 hours, 26/hr avg for the month. This is at 1/2 and 0/3.

I was only a little better than break even over 126 hours from Jan-Mar.

Moving away from LLSNL and playing mostly 5/10 NLHE and PLO. Everyone's solid obv...

This is from approx 1/1/12 when I got back into playing somewhat seriously post BF (mostly 2/5). Games are still quite beatable IMO. People that say that they aren't probably just can't beat the games (I readily admit that this sample size is LOL meaningless).

I wouldn't say that, anything over 500 hours is a decent chunk IMO.

Jesus, how is your std dev/hour $288.85? Mine is $360/hr and I'm a total nit.

If true, this is very depressing. I'm making 50/hour over 258 hours at 2/5 this year. Admittedly sample size is lol, but how sure are you of this? I respect your opinion in these forums, but for it to be max winrate seems entirely pessimistic first hand
