540 sessions (1950 hours). Never hit the break even mark.

I’ve played a sessions where I lost $1 and won $2. Those are the closest I’ve ever been.

370 sessions in the last year, never had a break even session. But they are all on-line so its possible to bet in non-dollar increments which likely makes it functionally almost impossible.

6,060 hours 762 sessions. Zero finished exactly even. 10 are plus/minus less then $10.

Looks like I'm running ahead on dead-even-session expectation this year ... two dead-even sessions; ~246 sessions so far. Looking back over last 5 years looks like I had 4 additional prior to this year. (Well, one was a sub-10-minute sit in a 2-4 limit game while waiting for a NL seat; I might not have played a hand. )

In a lol little 1/3 NL streak right now where I've gone 8 sessions in a row (4 pre-Covid, 4 post-Covid) with no result outside of +/- 68bbs. My best result, a $162 win (54bb); my worst result, a $204 loss (68bb). And not as if I'm putting in short sessions either, as the average session length for those has 8 hours 42 minutes.

Lol @ me?

So did a quick check on the database of 631 sessions to see how many sessions I've strung together in a row without booking a 100bb win or loss.

9 sessions (best win $138, worst loss $195)
8 sessions (best win $240, worst loss $15)
8 sessions (best win $178, worst loss $269)

So kinda happy to know this just happens to be one of those streaks that comes around every 150 sessions or so and likely isn't going to be par for the course. But still kinda lol / mind ****y.

nice job gg!!

You should poast up yer 5k hr giraffe in here too. It really is a sweet graph. Effectively no variance and effectively stress free poker. Well done mang!

@ Squiddy

Here's the giraffe (in sessions instead of dates in order to remove the 20 month COVID layoff):

Lol, notice the last 149 hours / 18 sessions of low variance ~exact flatlining. Which, ironically, I'm actually quite stressed about.

Nice graph!
I wish I had a sample and win rate like that!

Over what time period did you play 5000 hours? Not including the 20 month break obviously.

Maybe you're a bit off your game after the break?
Or maybe people are playing different now and you're not adjusting correctly?
Either way, a bit of work should fix the issue

Put in my first 1/3 NL session in May of 2010 and I've been playing it ~once per week since (minus the 20 month COVID period where our poker rooms were closed). Without the COVID break I would have done it in 10 years (I average about 550 hours per year nowadays).

Half those ~flatlining sessions were right before COVID and coming right off a very successful (for me) 2018 and 2019. And I've rebounded with a nice little uptick in the last 4 sessions. Definitely made some mistakes in big pots since my return (although it isn't as if I didn't do that pre-break too). But mostly I just chalk it up to variance. You play enough hours, you'll go thru enough weird streaks of good / bad / indifferent.

Thanks, it's inspiring to know you can actually win at live poker without putting in 100+ ours each month.
Got myself a full time job again a few months back and now Corona is back, so my live games are on hold once again

So I put my little low variance 1/3 NL streak to bed recently, a little 10 session streak (5 sessions pre-COVID, 5 sessions post-COVID) I just went thru where I never booked a win or loss greater than 68bb (with an average session length of 8 hours ~20 minutes):

$108 (12 hours 35 minutes)
$41 (11:35)
-$58 (5:35)
$162 (10:20)
-$46 (7:30)
-$204 (7:35)
$0 (7:20)
$153 (7:05)
-$116 (7:45)
$1 (6:35)

For realz. Don't try this at home kids.

Spoiler:

Next three sessions were -$536, $1174 and $592 to put a stop to that nonsense.

GG, FWIW, I had always looked at you with the lens of someone who tries to win as much money as the game allows.

Obviously with such lens, you kind of suck.

But with the proper lens, you have accomplished things that very few could. Mad props to you.

Just thought I would share that, though I still do think you kind of suck in poker.

Clearly poker is something you enjoy doing. And you are doing it with little regards to the results.

That's more than a lot of people can say about things they do for fun.

In the spirit of the moment, you're the prefect Matrix candidate =).

I feel like the ******ed stepkid who presents a macaroni project to his stepparents and they go all "wow, so cute, good for you!" and pat me on the head and then later they inspect it a little more closely and go "holy ****, that's actually an insane amount of macaroni...".

Have always been legit curious as to why others don't post their LLSNL winrates tho? Obvious number one reason is no one likes to barg anonymously on the interwebz, but otherwise?
