Q:

IYO, what is the max hourly 1-tabling 50NL 6m on Bovada?

Yeah 500 max, most buy in for 200 or 300 and keep rebuying 200 at a time. It's pretty normal for there to be 2 big stacks of 1400+ 3 hours after table starts.

Actually I left a full-time job for poker. I was working as a tradesperson making $30hr, but after working my way up to the top over 8 years, I decided to make poker my sole income. Needed to try it full time before I wasn't in a spot to attempt it. Lucky me, I will always have that old job if poker doesn't satisfy.
Was making $15/hr before going on this journey over 2k hours so def making improvements.

I have improved vastly. I have gotten coaching and also study often and constantly take notes on player pool. Have started playing daytime games as they are steady and small pool here so I'm able to develop solid approach. Save my night play for weekends where I play a tighter style to get max value from the randoms and drunks.

The game has changed slightly as the player pool (retired guys, Asian gamblers and industry people) has gotten to know me. At first, I was getting paid off easily and now I must set up spots more carefully.

Our local casinos are pretty nice. To be honest, since leaving my old job for poker I have never been in better shape. I bought a gym membership for a place walking distance from my main Casino. I go every morning on the way to play and sometimes take a break and lift some weights in the middle of a session.

One thing to keep in mind is that your previous poker results don't always give you an indication of what your future poker results will be; they can vary wildly (as I'm finding out).

This involves taking highly aggressive lines early on and pushing position and draws heavily vs the non-whales. Somehow all the villains haven't caught on on how to exploit me as I get tons of folds from them.

In the session where i was +1940, i was BB with AA, UTG (Aggro whale) raises to 16, 5 callers, I shove for 780 effective, UTG snap calls, all others fold and I hold vs AKss.

Normally would just 3b big there but had made a play the week prior, same exact scenario and aggro whale, except i had A9ss and 200 effective with aggro whale and got called by QJ and lost.

Earlier in session:

I raise to 13 with 75 in MP, CO call, Button (Nit) 3bets to 30, I call 350 effective, CO folds.

Flop 468 rainbow, I lead 20, Button raises to 75 i flat. Turn 10 I c/r his 80 bet AI and get snapped by AA.

Not really any skill in either of these hands other than knowing my image and whale tendencies when i shove for 780, and knowing my implied odds vs nit.

Yea, that's part of what I was getting at. Your 1000 hour sample isn't really homogeneous. Your early hours are different than your recent hours if you've been putting in study time. This is a big part of why it's so hard to make statistical arguments about LLSNL winrates, even when you have the hours it's not fair to compare them.

On weekens with the play is looser and there are more drunks, you should be playing *looser*. Not crazy loose, but there will be more spots to get your money in ahead against those guys, so you can play more hands and still be ahead of their ranges and otherwise able to exploit them.

It sounds like you've cultivated a very solid, tight image. I've done the same thing in my local games. Not you need to start exploiting that. Stab stab stab at pots. Raise OTB with ATC when it looks like they're not interested. Barrel flops and/or turns when you whiff.

It has to be. No human can survive that much $2/4 limit without blowing their own brains out.

Sadly, not a typo.

Honestly, I had fun and enjoyed it, and it certainly was a good introduction (albeit perhaps overly long one) regarding getting comfortable playing poker in a casino setting.

My only regret is that at the same time there was a bunch of 1/2 NL games going on that I didn't even attempt to play, and my guess is that I passed on 5+ years of extremely profitable fish filled NL tables (before the local scene started dying down thanks to a lot of these fish eventually realizing they suck at the pokers).

I have a funny hand for you guys.

6 handed 1-2nl, it's late around 1.30am most people are semi-drunk. hero covers everyone at the table, biggest fish of the whole city was there tonight, actually didn't give away too much but enough to make some guys really deep.

Drunk casual to my left, very drunk, took a lot of shooters with him and he was also getting beers non-stop the whole night. Very gambly, loose, aggro table.

I open K4o to 10 UTG (lol).
Drunk casual (1k deep) to my left insta 3bets to 20. His range literally ATC at this point.

Everyone folds hero calls.Hero yells no A no Kings!! Flop AdKdKx, everybody burst in laugther.
Hero checks, drunk bets like 30 or 40. Hero calls

Turn 6d completing the fd. Hero checks, drunk insta ships for around 900 more in a 100$ pot...

Hero shows his K, villain throws a card at hero which ends up being the 3d.

Hero tanks and V is just drunk talking lol, he actually showed a spectator his hand earlier too. hero calls. V shows 3d2x lol.

Ps: I know this whole hand is a snap fold 98% of the time, this guy really likes overbet shoving paired board for some reason and he doesn't overbet shove when he has a hand. Kinda funny tho to shove 500bbs with a 3 high fd. Lots of laugh were had after this hand.
