I think you guys should bombard limon with private messages telling him to come out that weekend.

On the LATB note, I'll try to get Bart to join us too. He's also very good at drinking/fun.

Haha, you are in charge of inviting all those Vegas legends.

Ftr- hperik is a craps pro so we should crush that no prob after poker.

If I go I'll hang out for sure. 100% in for drinking, craps, sports betting, etc. In for poker at 1/2 if we play for less than two hours and DGAF always tells us the color of both his cards prior to the flop.

I have no problem with that. Hperik when playing 2/5 or lower usually turns his cards face up prior to acting pre (true story), so announcing colors is really nbd in this game. Hope you make it suge knight.

We could make it a rule - active players have to announce red, black or rainbow before the flop is dealt.

I doubt there is going to be much post flop play with a bunch of 5-10/10-20+ players playing drunk 1-2 lol, so Im not sure colors/suits will matter very much. Having said that, I'm game for anything...

Maybe one card up one card down (like the dealer in black jack) is the way to go?

I just remembered that when Greg Raymer was in Tucson a couple of months ago he told me about a game that involves two boards combining HE and Omaha high. As I recall it, you get four cards, play Omaha on one board, holdem on the second, each board simultaneous. If I got it right, for the HE board you get to play any combo of hand and board, and for the Omaha board you have to play two from your hand.

Anyone played this? He said it was spread for a few guys last year at WSOP. I think they played limit but we could do it pot limit on both boards.

Sounds like a very good drinking game. Maybe I need to PM Greg and get the rules straight.

the obvious answer is a 1/2 big 0 game (5 card plo8)

My memory was really wrong (I must have been playing in a drinking game that night) . The game he was telling me about was Svetin, combining draw and PLO. He's sending the rules by PM - I'll post them here.

Per Greg,

Ah, you're thinking of Svetin. It's not two boards, it's a combo of PLO and draw.

Deal 5 cards per player (6 player max), first round of betting. You use a button and blinds like holdem or omaha. Deal a flop, bet. Make sure the dealer does not rush at this point, and does not burn. Next step is to ask each player, in turn, to put out their discards. Each player can draw from 0-5 cards. Earliest position indicates first, and separates the discards from the keepers. Once everybody has done this, then the dealer burns, deals replacement cards in turn, and immediately also deals the turn card. 3rd round of betting. River card dealt, final round of betting.

At showdown, half the pot goes to the best PLO hand, using 2 from your hand 3 from the board. Other half of the pot goes to the best draw hand, using all 5 from your hand.

Since it's not hi-lo split, odd chip goes to PLO hand. If two players are splitting the PLO or draw half, odd chip goes to early position.

Greg says if we play Svetin he would love to play. Might be kind of hard to keep track of what you are up to after a few drinks. And the dealer would definitely need to be sober.

I think we need a game that can be played 9 handed. I also think nlhe is the best choice as far as everyone (including dealers) being able to auto pilot it and focus more on conversation, drinks, slow rolls, etc. Adding a new silly rule or two is fine too ime as it gets the brain working a little strat wise, makes the game more fun/less serious, and it gives people one more thing to talk about. Once again though, I'm up for anything/the consensus.

I don't know Greg personally, but he is more than welcome to come play if he wants. He seems to have a pretty good vibe from what I can tell...

A group of people watch a baseball game (6 of us did this at dodger stadium the other night). They sit in a row, and each ante into a hat that will then be passed from left to right after each batter. If your batter does something positive, you pull money from the hat. If your batter does something negative (way more likely obv), you add to the hat. Rewards and punishments fluctuate greatly depending on just how well or how poorly your batter does. At the end of the game, the person to the right of the person who's batter makes the last out scoops.

It's a fun game and lucid I'm sure will post the exact rules in here if you want. I don't know them, I was just doing as I was told. I also never pulled anything out of the hat iirc but still enjoyed playing.

+1 for nlhe I mean I'd play whatever but a game we all know seems best when drinking/talking instead of having to figure out rules/who won and stuff

Agreed - better stick to NLH. Svetin sounds like a fun game but better to play it sober I'd guess.
