1/3 or 2/5 cash full-ring. Stacks are all 75BBs-300BBs (obviously V's particular stack size affects this). Let's simplify by saying everyone is 100BBs, 9 handed, all 3-bets are reasonable 3x-4x sizing.

Give me your calling range for:

1. You open UTG and UTG+1 3-bets you.

2. You open CO and BTN 3-bets you.

Depends on villain more than anything. At least in my pool even 90% of the regs dont 3bet anywhere close to optimal even on button vs CO open they have same range, typically just AQs+, AK, and QQ+ so I would be quite tight and really just call that same range and add KQs, maybe tens and jacks.

You can just get a training site subscription to answer these questions. They have preflop charts for this stuff, and they have content on how to adjust from the default preflop chart strategy versus various Villains.

Depends a lot on my read on V, but generally, I'm going to give V's 3B more respect when it's +1 vs UTG open than I will when it's BTN vs CO open.

It also depends on stack depth and our specific hand. I'll continue more by calling with PP's when we're deep enough to set mine. Otherwise, I'm more likely to view it as a 4B or fold situation with most holdings.

I'll also give more respect to 3B's at 1/3 than at 2/5. At 1/3, my continue range is going to be stronger, probably TT+/KQs+. At 2/5, I might continue with PP's down to 88, and some Broadway connectors down to JTs.

Part of the reasoning is that the larger opening size compared to stack size at 1/3 is going to create lower SPR's post-flop than what will happen at 2/5.

To use specific dollar amounts, if we're $300 deep at 1/3, we open to $15, and get 3B to $45, I'm probably 4B'ing QQ+/AK, and flatting with TT-JJ/AXs, but folding everything else.

At 2/5, if we're $500 deep, we open to $15 and get 3B to $45, I'm 4B'ing AA/KK/AKs, and flatting 88-QQ/AKo, AXs, KQs, and maybe some other suited connectors, depending on other variables / factors.
