What do I need to know to move up to 5/10? What do I need to know to move up to 5/10?

2/5 used to be the highest stakes in my casino but a 5/10/25 game has been running on the weekends with a good mix of the best 2/5 players and a couple whales. 5/10 is time raked as well, I've been chopping the blinds since 2/5 is pot raked so I've never studied blind v blind. Also been playing a TAG style (although sometimes I play passively too to exploit aggression) using preflop charts for raked game.

Study BvB and 3bet pots.

Here is a visual representation of how important each spot is wrt to EV in a 6 max online game.

Are the GTO charts on pokercoaching.com applicable for a time raked game? For example this is what they say is SB v BB RFI.

Yeah those ranges seem fine but good luck implementing limping ranges in the SB. That strategy takes years of practice to pull off successfully.

You should just RFI as a default until you get very comfortable with BvB imo.

Yeah I would not recommend trying to learn limping mixed strat from the sb.

The uninitiated think the complexity comes from memorizing the pf frequencies. But that is just the surface of it.

The complexity comes from the expanded post flop tree you have to deal with for all those hands .

Prioritize how DDP has laid out and for a simpler version. SB vs BB srp, Btn vs BB srp and SB vs Btn 3 bet are the top 3 I would go after.

Yes there are differences between utg vs bb and btn vs bb so get those separately but I would deprioritize CO vs bb and HJ vs BB since they generally could fall into the Btn or UTG buckets particularly vs live players.

Your pf ranges will also be a little different live because stacks generally play deeper, players call more and 3 bet less.

So your range construction for rfi and 3bet/4bets should be different than gto imo to exploit for these differences.

idk. i think for described situation, you're much better off focusing on how to adjust vs the recs / whales esp if they are the only reason the game is going. one of the few things i feel strongly about tbh. would just accept you're going to be leaking a decent amount of ev vs the stronger regs (its maybe not a substantial amount if 2/5 is the biggest game that goes in your area on a regular basis) and evaluate if the fish are losing enough that it's worth playing. unpopular opinion on here but focusing on some of the mental stuff (elliot roe's new book probably the easiest gateway) may also help you significantly if you're jumping up in stakes

i mean yeah studying is good, but if you don't ordinarily do that, the chances of you being able to learn quickly enough to figure things out in different contexts / execute in game in a short enough time frame while playing higher seems fairly low to me. i guess if you still want to, study the higher value spots from ddp's spreadsheet and practice online. would also recomend considering to buy in shorter to the game if that's an option (fish's mistakes are going to get magnified, you lose less vs the better regs and they may be very uncomfortable / unstudied with that stack size, less risk blah blah)

I agree. Knowing how to play vs fish is one of the most important things. But that requires knowing how to play at some fundamental level.

I agree with submersible in this. Far more important to be focused on the lineup at the table. The question for you is going to be how to you minimize your losses to the good players while waiting to get in a hand with the whales (and you'll want to make sure there are several at the table when you are playing).
