Ding ding ding. Glad I'm not the only one. Except for me poker is pretty much the only thing in my life I hate with a passion.

This would be the pinnacle epiphany for me, of many from this great thread. Thanks Jman, I feel a little wiser.

Btw for those of you not familiar with jman's entire body of work here's the all time classic: http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...ue#Post2851842

For some reason this post from someone at ground zero of a brutal downswing has always stuck with me: http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...ue#Post4911875

(Actually it probably made me feel a little better last week when the power went out and I lost $1200 or so in equity while of course in the middle of my brutal downswing. At least I knew someone else had been through the same thing.)

Seems like anything less than, say, TT is essentially air, but is ahead of jman.

I could be wrong, but to me it seems more like villain is bluffing a missed draw, but jman wants to fold out crappy hands that beat 55, rather than jman thinking his raise looks so strong that a decent hand will fold.

Earlier in the thread you said you'd play 28/10 in very small stakes to pwn people post-flop. The live game I play in is EXTREMELY loose and I've been playing with the idea of not re/raising as much or at least not as big since EVERYBODY calls in live games (ESP. this one); I particularly am thinking this in the blinds. E.g. Limp x4 and I raise BIG with AQs from the sb and get one caller in the cutoff (someone ALWAYS calls). I c-bet a rag rainbow flop and get called, then I ch-f the turn to a half-pot bet (he's not tricky, just a station). I bring this up 'cause you said 28/10, meaning you keep your raises to a minimum. Are spots like these better to be left for "lets build the pot after the flop when I know I have the best of it" or are you losing too much equity with this hand by not raising in your opinion. This is only an example of course and I'm speaking of optimal strategy in these types of spots vs these types of players.

Anyway, this may be the best thread I've read on 2+2, fantastic.

Simple Question:

Who's you're favorite player right now, and why?

It is clear that Jman is going to stop posting here soon. Let's make a proposal...Anyone playing in big games who thinks he has something to give back to the community should come here and answer the questions for one week let's say. Of course he has to announce first...

Awesome read Jman.

Re: the above link - whatever happened to PimpOwnage and Gandi9 and players like that. It seems like SO man successful (or seemingly successful) players disappear so quickly in the world of poker.

Question that hasn't been asked yet. Why havent you watched any of the High Stakes episodes that you were on? I thought you played considerably well and def. owned Eli Elezra in the blind battle with K9. Wouldn't reviewing this footage be an invaluable tool for your live game? Also, you played on several episodes of Cash Poker as well, have you watched those? I remember a hand where you check called 3 streets with 54ss on a coordinated board. I think the river put a flush on board and villain triple barrel bluffed with 109. Care to talk more about that hand? Oh yes, it was vs Kido Pham. This thread is easily the best and most valuable thread I have read to date man. TY.

Do you think anything other than poker could have allowed you to make as much money as you are making now?
